| I've really been enjoying Samson's Petra polls, as it makes me want to pull out the old CDs again. This inspired me to do similar polls for my all-time favorite Christian band, Resurrection Band (or Rez Band, or Rez, depending on the time period). Before getting into the polls for each individual album, however, I thought I do one for favorite album overall. Unfortunately, the polling feature for the forum only allows for 15 choices, so I had to make a choice: exclude the live albums or exclude the cassette "demos." Since the demos weren't released by a record company and therefore were only originally available to concert-goers I decided to exclude them. I will, however, include them in the individual polls. Obviously, I also had to exclude the compilation albums from this poll, and I'll also be excluding them when I start doing individual album polls. After all, none of them ever included any unreleased material. So here it is, the first "Favorite Resurrection Band ... " poll. Each poll will be set to last for seven days for maximum exposure, after which I'll post a new poll for the next album, beginning next Sunday with the two demos, "All Your Life" and "Music to Raise the Dead." Even though I love all their albums, Rainbow's end has always been my favorite, followed closely by Colours. Probably be they were the first one's I heard, and I was very impressed that Christians could actually rock!

| That's a tough one as I've only really heard from DMZ to Between Heaven 'N Hell. So I'm going to go with DMZ. Just recently got it on CD! | |

| The only REZ album I have right now is the Twenty Years live CD, but I hope to change that pretty soon. | |

| Gotta go with "Innocent Blood". It's a great mix of blues and hard rock. _________________ I might have decided, or maybe not, that I should or shouldn't, depending on the issue or non-issue, to possibly share or not share, any thoughts, opinions, or facts (that might not be deemed factual by some), due to possible fear of any misinterpretation or retribution. https://christianhardmusic.niceboard.com/ | |

| I have only heard their material from Between Heaven and Hell and up til the last one. I have Colours on LP but have only heard it once on a subpar player. I was torn between Innocent Blood and Civil Rites but had to go with CR. | |

| I had to go with Civil Rites as well. Great album.
I applaud your decision to only post one album each week. I really liked Samson's Petra albums threads but they got kind of congested with one posted each day (and a little hard to follow). _________________ "I used to be indecisive.......... Now I'm not sure."

| Of what I've heard (about five albums) I'd go with Silence Screams. _________________ My Christian Metal Website......... Silence Is Madness

Not my intentions. Sorry about that. I made the mistake years ago on another board, posting all of a band's albums in the same day, and I flooded the board big time. I thought it would be a little more helpful to just do one a day, but I wasn't expecting such a congestion. I will keep that in mind for the next band I do the following week.

I didn't mean to draw criticism your way, altho' I am sure Staybrite wasn't intending to be critical. I enjoyed your Petra polls and thought it would be interesting to see what folks say about Rez. Sadly, most folks are commenting that they only have later albums, so I'm suspecting the polls will be pretty light.

| This was hard because they are all so darned good. I went with Bootleg because it was my introduction to the band, so it will always have a special place in my heart. | |

| Never been a great big fan, but I do like to mix their songs in with shuffle playlists.
I chose "Reach of Love" cuz of sentimental reasons. I came to faith in '89 and was still a fairly new believer when I heard the title cut from that album played on a Christian radio station. I raced out and bought the tape ! Listened to it over and over, though I was aware they'd been around for a long time, I just played that tape to death.
Which means, it really isn't their best album imo, but the one that is defined as my "Favorite".

| Unfortunately, I can't really participate in this, since I have no Rez whatsoever. However, I've heard "Military Man", one of the best rock songs ever, IMO. | |
