Those are two of their rockier songs. Marty McCall also had a solo career

That's what I do now, listening to Fireworks. A long time ago I've gotten a gospel encyclopedia. I use it to find more information about bands. Have found Fireworks too.

I've read Fireworks released albums from 1977 - 1982. Marty McCall was the vocalist for Whiteheart, Rick Cua and some others.

Marty did a lot of work with other bands, but I never read anywhere that he worked with White Heart - perhaps backup vox ?

The gospel encyclopdia told that Marty McCall worked with Whiteheart (1991)
Question is it Whiteheart or White Heart, yep the band from the wonderful song "Seventy Times Seven"?

Marty McCall did backing vocals on White Heart's Power House album.
Of course, I am going to act like I am real smart and I already knew that, but I really didn't until I just looked it up..

For me it was Undercover - God Rules. I didn't care too much for it at the time cuz it was punk sounding and I was looking for metal. The song Wait A Minute scared me though. A year later I heard Stryper but it really wasn't until I first heard Whitecross that changed everything for me!

Not bad at all. I really dig the guitar work. It is instantly recognizable as 70's rock.

In grade school my youth group was trying to push "Christian rock" on me when I was into a lot of secular hard rock and heavy metal. I was listening to Zeppelin, Aerosmith, Ted Nugent, etc. and they were telling me to listen to Keith Green and BJ Thomas. Needless to say, I wasn't impressed and it turned me of to "Christian rock" for many years. Then when I was a teenager my youth pastor gave me a record called "Master & the Musician" by Phil Keaggy. It was awesome! Still love it to this day, but wasn't quite what I was listening to either. I had a friend in high school whose favorite band was Petra. Again, they didn't quite compete with Zeppelin, Nugent and Judas Priest. In the 80's I became a Christian and was actively searching out Christian music. I walked into a record store and picked up an album by a band called Stryper. The guy at the front counter said he loved them and that he was a fan of everything from the Monkees to Metallica. Wow! Finally a Christian band that plays quality heavy rock. Then it was Saint, Bloodgood, Daniel Band. I discovered Rez and even started enjoying some Petra. Sooo, that doesn't really answer the question fo the first Christian rock album I heard, but it does give you some insight into my history of Christian rock.

Petra - Never Say Die
I got it as a new release, my mom decided I was old enough to start picking out my own music.....I never listened to the Imperials again.
