| Are there any songs from DT that you enjoyed more than the original recording? My favorite is definitely the rerecording of "This Means War". | |

| I've never been a massive Petra fan (probably only own about 6 albums), and the negative reviews of this one always kept me from checking it out. _________________ "I used to be indecisive.......... Now I'm not sure."

| If you don't like mellow music, then you probably won't like this one. I guess I finally developed a soft spot for mellow music. | |

| I always liked this one. It was neat to hear different takes on some classic songs! Yes, softer but still really good quality tracks, and I felt the short but very pointed track "The Longing" was a great song. I enjoyed "Beat the System", " The Coloring Song" and "Judas Kiss" to name few. Let's get this straight, it is NOT a rocking album (it's more like elevator music), but it's a good listen if you're sick in bed, relaxing around the house, or just going for a drive sometime. It gets a bad rap because it's a departure from the Petra norm. | |

| It was okay at best. I think it would have been received better had this been a live recording in an intimate coffee house or church setting. But, for a studio remake of these songs, it was a total sleeper. Again, I had this and traded it away for credit at Blastbeats when they were awesome. _________________ I might have decided, or maybe not, that I should or shouldn't, depending on the issue or non-issue, to possibly share or not share, any thoughts, opinions, or facts (that might not be deemed factual by some), due to possible fear of any misinterpretation or retribution. https://christianhardmusic.niceboard.com/ | |

| Actually, I have really begun to enjoy the era known as "Petra-lite", which I consider Wake-Up Call, No Doubt, Petra Praise 2, God Fixation, Double Take, and Revival. I vehemently avoided playing these albums for years, and only now are a lot of songs from these albums beginning to minister to me. | |

Was the whole disc a bunch of rerecordings? If so,No wonder it threw me off. None of them grabbed me as it sounded so different. I thought it was supposed to simply be a compilation disc. That was so long ago and I have softened up some so I may give it another chance.

Wake Up Call I really dug. Anything after that sounded too alternative rock for my tastes.

| As one who prefers GXV over JS, I surprisingly love DT. I don't dislike JS, I just prefer Volz, however, I really liked the re-interpretations by Schlitt. I think he nails them beautifully and in ways that the originals may have lacked. Still, given the choice, I'd pop in More Power to ya or Not of this world anytime before I spun the DT album. Just me. | |
