| So many of the new bands ruin their sound by playing double bass the whole song. Does this bother anybody else ? A little variation and space would sound so much better. | |

| Oh man that drives me nuts. It's like a novelty act that got overused years ago but most power-metal bands just can't seem to let it go. It seems to be creeping its way into other hard/fast music as well. It's as if the drummers need to prove they can do it or something. I think it's ok if used sparingly, but most drummers/bands who use it don't seem to agree. _________________ "I used to be indecisive.......... Now I'm not sure."

| It gets almost as old as that terrible hardcore screaming technique that so many band are going to. The constant double bass drum technique shows a lack of originality and creativity to me. Sure, they can play fast, but too much of a good thing is still too much. _________________ I might have decided, or maybe not, that I should or shouldn't, depending on the issue or non-issue, to possibly share or not share, any thoughts, opinions, or facts (that might not be deemed factual by some), due to possible fear of any misinterpretation or retribution. https://christianhardmusic.niceboard.com/ | |

| I agree. Some double basses sound like a machine gun. A bit double bass is ok but a song full of double bass is to much. | |

| I love it as an accent, but I agree that there are bands who rely on it way too much. Plus, I suck at it. |

| Sabidoo, does too. But, I wouldn't worry about it. Master the tricks you need and everything will be good.
