| No that's not the name of a new band... In light of Alldat's recent break, I thought we could share the bones we've broken and how they got that way. I've busted a few in my day. First one was roller skating at the roller rink when I was 12. Just learned to go backwards that night, when someone threw a nerf ball for me to catch and it went too far over my head. I reached up to catch it only to have my skates go out from under me and I slammed my right arm so hard when I fell that it cracked both bones nice a clean. Next morning my arm was all swelled up and purple. Got my 1st cast. Then at 13 I was in Jr High doing laps in the gym during P.E. The "fun" thing to do was trip people while they were jogging along. Me and my friend tripped the wrong person. When I was retaliated on, one guy tripped and the other pushed me hard in the back. I flew to the ground so hard that my left wrist busted and was all warped out of shape. Very gruesome... and painful. The guys who did it obviously apologized. The funny thing was, I went to my 10 year reunion and one of the "trippers" was there, he apologized again ! Poor guy had been carrying the guilt around all the years. Last story- I worked at Stater Bros Meat Dept. and in the giant freezer was stacking boxes of frozen ribs. When I was done I stepped down off the stack and onto a slick cement floor, when I slipped fast I reached out to grab anything and my middle finger of my left hand caught a shopping cart. Snapped the finger all the way back. Lucky for me it was 10 below in the freezer and I didn't feel a lot of pain... until it thawed out while I was waiting to be driven to ER. Alright... your gory stories | |

| When I was 6 I fell off our back porch and broke my elbow. My parents rushed me to the ER, the doctor set it and I had a cast for 12 weeks.
I later realized that the doctor set the break too far and it now affects my baseball and golf swing, which is really irritating because I believe I could have had a shot at a scholarship to play ball. I'm a pretty good fielder but unless it's a high, outside fastball, every hit goes straight to the ground.

| Well, of course, everyone knows about my recent ankle and the break caused by falling during geocaching. I have an 8 inch steel plate and 8 permanent screws inside, and I have two big scars on the outside of my leg that will show during the summer months when I am wearing shorts. But, I have had a few other things happen. I used to work for a boot company many years ago. I was working one day trimming the excess sole off the boots before they are stitched on. The toe was open on this one boot we made that had to be oiled to get the right color. Needless to say, my ring finger went into the cutting machine. I cut off the tip of my ring finger on my left hand. I went to the hospital and had the end of my finger with me as it was hanging by the skin. They reconnected it and I have a scar and some numbness to show for it. But, I can still type and play bass/guitar. I broke a toe once by turning around quickly and kicking a guitar case. Of course, there were two guitar cases together against a wall. They didn't move. My little toe did. I also broke my pinky on my right hand. I was working for Bridgestone and was attempting to insert the tread into my tire machine. I had to force the tread into the machine as it was for a huge tire. I pushed to hard and hit my finger on the frame of the tread shoot and broke it. I am an accident waiting to happen. _________________ I might have decided, or maybe not, that I should or shouldn't, depending on the issue or non-issue, to possibly share or not share, any thoughts, opinions, or facts (that might not be deemed factual by some), due to possible fear of any misinterpretation or retribution. https://christianhardmusic.niceboard.com/ | |

| I did that once as well. Cracked my wrist when hitting the kitchen cabinets during an argument with my wife back in our early years. The cabinets won.

| No broken bones that I'm aware of except for corrective jaw surgery after high school graduation to move it forward a bit. I've had sutures twice though from cuts on my hands. _________________ "If you are not concerned about your neighbor's salvation, you should be concerned about your own."

| Oh, if we talk surgeries too, then I've also had heal surgery on both feet for spurs, a repaired deviated septum from a probable broken nose as a kid, and my gall bladder taken out on top of all the other crap. I have surgical scars everywhere!

| G/F's roller rink episode reminded me that I dislocated my little finger during a roller skating mishap and had to have it set back into place.
My only real break happened when I was 10. I was goofing around with a few kids in my Judo class and one of the bigger kids grabbed me and flipped me over his head...then he fell on me. It broke the femur bone in one spot and the tibia bone in two spots (both on my right leg). I was in a cast from my toes to my tush for at least 8 weeks before trading it in for a shorter lower leg cast. _________________ "I used to be indecisive.......... Now I'm not sure."

| O U C H I've never broken a leg... yet. And I SHOULD have many times with the way we were always doing psycho stunts on our bikes and motorbikes. One time I should've broke a leg was when we were about 8 or 9 and we were jumping off a trailer in the back of my friend's yard. Basically it was a dare- and it was cool to be like the 6 million dollar man jumping off a high roof to the ground. Well, unlike the bionic man, I landed so hard that my knee came up, hit my chin and busted the tooth on my bottom row. Got up like nothing bad happened, acted cool and spit out peices of tooth. Ahhhh, childhood. So wonder any of us made it to adulthood. | |

| I fell a few years back and shattered every bone in my right wrist. It also rotated my wrist about 90 degrees out of the socket. It also severally damage the muscles and nerves in my wrist. I am right handed so I couldn't do anything. I missed several weeks of work and when the cast came off several months later I had no strength in my wrist or arm whatsoever. I couldn't even lift a pencil. I went through weeks of therapy. to this day I can't throw a baseball or bowl. I can play guitar but I have to have a very thin neck. Thats why I had a custom fender strat built. It has a very thin small 60s neck on it with small frets. I have alot of arthritis problems also. |

| Thankfully, I haven't done much more than sprain a few spots. Once, I caught a basketball wrong and hurt my right middle finger, then I did something else (can't remember) and sprained my left ankle two days later. I couldn't play drums for a little while after that. I also sprained my right wrist about 5 years ago when I fell off a scooter. As I'm right-handed, it was tough to write all the tests I had that week. I managed, but it was not easy. No bones have been broken, though. I'm not outdoorsy, so the probabilities are lower that I'd break something. I sure hope I don't. | |

| 1.) When I was about 4, we used to stay with a babysitter in a nearby town. She was a ruthless, heartless old gasbag and forced us to stay outside, year round and find something to do. She had a greenhouse that was partially underground. Half the roof was tin and the other half was glass. One day, the bigger kids were using the tin side as a makeshift slide. I wanted in on the fun but was too little to climb up there. I figured glass was slick enough to slide on and since I could get up there, I climbed up to slide. One small bounce later, I was lying on the floor several feet down. The end of my left ring finger was gone a some pretty severe damage from a cut into the ligaments of that hand. To this day, I have minimal use of the left pinky and it is deformed. The ring finger has a nail growing over the end and the injuries keep me from playing anything more than basic rhythm guitar.
I forgot to mention, one the accident happened, a young lad named CHRISTOPHER RONALD DICKENS (alldat) locked me in that greenhouse. A neighbor lady passing by heard my screams and let me out. It was several hours before momma got off work to take me to the doctor.
2.) The summer between the 5th and 6th grades, my grandfather (Pop) and I contracted to mow a local church and the cemetery. We made some good money and I was saving mine to buy a new bicycle to replace my old, worn out bike. I soon had the money I needed and Pop took me to get mu new ride. 26", 3 speed with hand brakes. AWESOME! A couple of days later, I was on my old bike, popping wheelies and flipped over backwards. I reached behind me with my right arm to catch myself and broke my wrist. Good old sabidoo got his cast and spent the rest of the summer ruining it on my new bike and all the other foolishness I used to get into.
3.) Early in my freshman year of high school, we were going to agriculture class. On the way, a buddy and I started play wrestling. We were holding each others shoulders and trying to push each other backwards. At one point, my left leg buckled to the side and my kneecap dislocated. I went to the ground and had my kneecap stuck on the side of my leg. After a nearby sawbones put it back in place, I had a cast from my ankle to my hip for 8 weeks. It was GLORIOUS as I got 2 month out of school. The hard part was learning to use my leg after the cast was removed.
4.) Dislocated my right thumb in my late 20's. Long story, horrible 2nd wife. I won't bore you with the details.
5.) Last August, the truck I was driving caught fire while I was asleep. That too is a long story (and testimony) and I got out with only my life. Well, that and 3 dislocated fingers and the nail on my right pinky ripped off.
6.) Numerous sprained ankles of varying severity as well as 2 surgeries. They removed my appendix when I was 4-5 and had my gallbladder removed in my 20's.
