| Any updates on the progress on a 3rd Letter 7 cd. I know someone here said the J.D was looking for a vocalist. | |

| Wrong forum. I am moving this to The Buzz where it belongs.
As it stands, I don't think anyone has heard from Letter 7. Not even the old MySpace page is active anymore. Their website is down and the email that I had for JD no longer works. _________________ I might have decided, or maybe not, that I should or shouldn't, depending on the issue or non-issue, to possibly share or not share, any thoughts, opinions, or facts (that might not be deemed factual by some), due to possible fear of any misinterpretation or retribution. https://christianhardmusic.niceboard.com/

| My hope was a new Letter 7 album. Like it looks now it's not going to happen. I liked Letter 7 so much. | |

| Weird. I have mixed feelings about their two albums. They both never felt like a band project, and I guess they really weren't... They aren't bad, they just sound... too polished, I guess.
Too bad, JD is a killer guitarist.

| The last I heard, which was months ago, he was asking fans for some ideas for the subjects of songs. | |

| I like both records a lot, but I actually like the first one better. The vocalist on the second one just doesn't sound good to me. The songs were better, the playing was better, the production was better, but the vocals just don't do it for me. If the same vocalist from the 1st album had done the 2nd album, it would have been KILLER.
Here's hoping JD isn't done.

| I am just the opposite and loved the singer on the 2nd album. The songs were much easier to connect with for me. But, that isn't meant to diss on the first album. BOTH were stellar albums. _________________ I might have decided, or maybe not, that I should or shouldn't, depending on the issue or non-issue, to possibly share or not share, any thoughts, opinions, or facts (that might not be deemed factual by some), due to possible fear of any misinterpretation or retribution. https://christianhardmusic.niceboard.com/ | |

Too bad, JD is a killer guitarist. Granted JD did the bass, guitar, and drum parts in the 1st album. I dont remember if he did all the parts on the 2nd. I totally disagree with you on your opinion of the 2 albums. I think they are great cds technically, lyrically and musically. I dont think they are polished at all...but thats just me... -rich

-rich It;s cool man. Maybe polished isn't the right word. Have you listened to some of Rez's early albums? They aren't sloppy but it's obviously a band. It just sounds different to me when it's a band and when it's one guy. Probably why I don't care much for Babylon Mystery Orchestra, Theocracy's first album or much black metal...

Yeah its no biggie bro. I havent listened to the REZ band in about 12 years. I personally do not like metal music that has the growling vocals.

| I agree. Sure, Glenn can be a little gravelly at times, but it works so well with the style of music he does. He has an awesome voice for just about any style.

| As good as the first was, IMO, the second was a vast improvement, both in song writing and production. | |

| I'm not sure I would use the word "vast" but I did think the second album was an improvement...especially in the song-writing. _________________ "I used to be indecisive.......... Now I'm not sure."
