| Kind of a proggish metal band in the vein of Sacred Warrior, Queensryche etc. What is your favorite album from this band?
I recently got a copy of the self-titled album, and have to admit that I like it considerably better than Age of Darkness. Not sure yet how it ranks against "Your Dying Day" _________________ "I used to be indecisive.......... Now I'm not sure."

| I've never heard the self-titled, so I'm going on the first two only. And of those two, I far prefer "Age of Darkness". The production was much better, but the songs were heavier and speedier. The entire production was much darker, which suited the lyrics on the album. I like "Your Dying Day", but the muddy production just takes a lot of the enjoyment of it away (for me). What does "Haven" sound like? | |

| I'll go with "Your Dying Day" as well. I thought Kevin's solo disc was horrible. _________________ I might have decided, or maybe not, that I should or shouldn't, depending on the issue or non-issue, to possibly share or not share, any thoughts, opinions, or facts (that might not be deemed factual by some), due to possible fear of any misinterpretation or retribution. https://christianhardmusic.niceboard.com/ | |

| Well I went with "Your Dying Day" after giving "Haven" a full listen I still like it better then Age of Darkness. Age of Darkness did have a better production then both the other Haven ablums but the songs had zero hook in them. One of those discs that is "technically" good, but once you turn if off you can't remember any of the lyrics or melodies. I have to confess I have never heard the Kevin Ayers solo album, but I have never heard good things about it. _________________ "I used to be indecisive.......... Now I'm not sure."

| Age Of Darkness for sure. I'm really suprised you didn't like Kevin's solo album Chris as I would've thought that more your style these days. I didn't think it was really bad for what it was. | |

| I totally agree...Age Of Darkness was absolutely brilliant. I didn't understand at the time how the band fell apart after that came out.

| I voted for Age of Darkness. I thought that that album was really ahead of its time musically. A real shame that the band isn't more well known, I think that Kevin Ayers has a unique voice.
Retroactive has them in thier "Active bands" catagory, I've heard rumor that they are working on something, but I haven't heard from them in quite some time.

I'm the guy who built the new Retroactive myspace page (which is now the label's official web presence)...I'm also currently admistering the page as well. I put Haven in the active bands category because their myspace page makes it clear that they are still working to get new material out. Bands in the active category are either actively recording, playing or touring. Bands in the inactive category are, as the category name implies, completely inactive. later...Cliffy
