Haven was a Christian Heavy Metal band from the United States that released Your Dying Day on the legendary R.E.X. Records in 1990. The album was, and still is, an example of a Christian band getting it right in terms of releasing music that stood apart from other heavy metal bands through their...
Your Dying day.
I have some of the songs of this album and always wanted to have the complete CD. Yeppers, now I can order the CD.

Bit too progressive for me, but I preferred Age Of Darkness by quite a long way to their other two. Haven't listened to it in years however!

I really liked "Your Dying Day" but not the follow-up album "Age of Darkness"

I have read it's a digipack with no lyrics. I consider to buy the downloads.

I have all three but they aren't big players for me. So, I will probably skip buying this reissue.

He sounds just about like Eli from The Sacrificed/Sacred Warrior, Rey from Sacred Warrior, or Geoff from Queensryche to me.

I'll agree. A lot of singers in the past had the high pitched falseto voices (Saint, Barren Cross, Sacred Warrior, Recon, etc.) Unfortunetly, they were replaced with the cookie monster.

My only complaint with the vocals is that he tended to over-do the vibrato just a bit........okay, maybe more than a bit.

Sadly alldat at this point I don't care for Eli, Rey or Geoff's vocals...
I don't like cookie monster stuff though either, but more mid-range and occasional high-pitched stuff.

I like Josh Kramer okay but more like Glenn Kaiser or Terry Chism or Tom Denlinger.

I love Glenn's voice, but I don't believe he sings high pitch. He does, however, have a built in rasp that could rip off the siding from your house. Love your avatar, by the way.

That is largely why Haven was never a big player for me. Neither was Sacred Warrior.

Was the reissue of Your Dying Day less muddy? I always liked the album, but I rarely listen to it because it was such a production mass. I’m curious of the 2012 remaster fixed this.
