| Ok, so here's a question for you all. I'm a big fan of polo shirts... you know, the ones with the collars. I was wondering if anyone knew of a Christian metal band who sold those sort of tops. I seem to remember Tourniquet used to many years ago, but I opted for a hoodie instead. Does anyone know of any metal bands who sell polo shirts?
Cheers

| Wow, metal polo shirts....what a cool idea. I wear polo shirts to work several days a week and I love them. Sadly I think polo shirts got something of a bad reputation in the U.S. back in the 80's. They were really popular with the "preppy" types (kind of the snobbing rich person stereo type, only preppies didn't really have to be rich, they just acted better than anyone who didn't fit their social class). So the kids who listened to metal (in the U.S. back in the 80's) wouldn't be caught dead wearing a polo shirt. The majority of the band shirts were printed on cheap cotton t-shirts (usually black) or even baseball jerseys and that became the "uniform" for metal kids. _________________ "I used to be indecisive.......... | Thanks for the replies. Interesting to read what you typed, Staybrite. I've always loved them and whilst they aren't as popular as t-shirts in the UK I wear them every day at work, and quite often at the weekend. I'm sort of kicking myself, for the tourniquet one (unless my memory fails me - and it does quite often) was black with a red stitched logo. It was very similar to the hoodie, but I went for the hoodie instead.
I'd just love to have a new christian metal one, with a subtle logo on it. I'll keep looking!

| You could always buy a band patch and sew it on a polo shirt. On ebay I have found stryper, barren cross, holy soldier and Narnia patches before. just an idea. |

| Ha! Funny you should say that, because just after I posted my last post I went off and looked for a Tourniquet embroidered patch. This seems like a good road to go down. Buy a polo shirt (Black!) and then sew on a $3 patch. RESULT!
Good call brokentulsa.
Now all I've got to do is find how many other bands have done something similar...

| I've never hard of such a thing either. Back in the 80s, 3/4 sleeve "baseball" jerseys were a bit of a fad. I had Barnabas and Resurrection Band shirts like that and I bought a Sweet Comfort shirt in that style for a girl, but those have gone away now. I kind of miss those. |

| I like polos myself. They go well with striped shorts Sadly, I only have one metal piece of clothing, but it's a Daniel Band/X-Sinner t-shirt. | |
