| I started this thread on CMR to see if anyone had any funny, clever ideas... I think you guys can give me some even greater parodies here.
Here's some of mine:
Cults sell, but they're lyin' (Parody of "Peace sells, but who's buyin'" by Megadeth)
I am the Lord (Parody of I am the Law by Anthrax)
Call on Jesus or die (Speak English or die by SOD)
Seek and you'll find (Seek and destroy by Metallica)
Saving is my business, and salvation is free (Killing is my business and business is good by Megadeth)
Writers of the Word (Riders on the Storm - The Doors)
Bold for Christ (Cold as Ice by Foreigner) "I'm bold for Christ, willing to sacrifice it all"
American Christian (American Woman by The Guess Who) "American Christian, have you lost your way-hey American Christian, listen what I say-hey You act like your faith's a bore, don't wanna see apathy no more; Now Christian, go back to your first love..."
Lost and Found (Round and Round by Ratt)
No life without You (Can't live without you by Scorpions)
God of Jacob (God of Thunder by Kiss)
Not a teacher (based on James 3:1 and sung to the tune of Hot for teacher by VH)
Run from the Lord (a song about Jonah- parody of Run to the Hills -Iron Maiden)
Corinthian Rhapsody
Agape Love (parody of Radar Love by Golden Earring) "He's got a thing s'called Agape Love..."
I wince at sin (Against the Wind -Bob Seger)
On a Course With No Fame (Song about discipleship and the race set before us.... and the parody of course, is Horse with no name - America)
Everybody needs YOU (Everybody wants you - Billy Squier)
Heart of Flesh (Ezek.11:19) (Heart of Glass - Blondie)
The Fire Inside (about the Holy Spirit) (rather than the meaning of Seger's Fire Inside song)

| You could go for a sillier title and talk about sacrificial laws in the Old Testament and change "Everybody Wants You" to "Everybody Wants Ewes".
When I still played with Stressin', we did a version of ZZ Top's "Tush" and called it "Bush". It was about Moses and the burning bush. _________________ I might have decided, or maybe not, that I should or shouldn't, depending on the issue or non-issue, to possibly share or not share, any thoughts, opinions, or facts (that might not be deemed factual by some), due to possible fear of any misinterpretation or retribution. https://christianhardmusic.niceboard.com/

| I've written a number of parody lyrics over the years, mostly for a friend of mine who would use them for ministry with the youth praise band. Unfortunately, all of my old files weren't transfered to the new comp. I should get that old hard drive and transfer them while I still can. |

| On CMR, I suggested More Than a Teacher to the tune of Boston's More Than a Feeling.

| Some of you may remember the one I wrote a few years ago (if you have good memories unlike me!)
THE SAVIOUR (Judas Priest’s INVADER)
It happened when the world was lost, and hope was all but gone. And there the might of man’s own rules paraded on and on. Then before the world’s dead eyes an answer came to be, a simple man, to their surprise, who roamed through Galilee
The Saviour Who came from on high The Saviour Salvation is nigh.
This is the once for all no more - the price will now be paid. When the Saviour dies for all, in death for us he laid And even though the wicked ways the devil does attend For through the power of Christ displays, there’s victory in the end.
The Saviour Came down from the sky. The Saviour Came down here to die.
As the ancient books do tell, Saviour broke through death and hell. Shattered sin in agony, And salvation He gives, To all who do want to be free.
And now the price is paid complete, Salvation is the call, For through His love and endless grace, this echo is for all: Come here and see the Mighty one, who suffered for your soul. Come here and see the Saving Son, and let him take control.
The Saviour Came down from the sky. The Saviour For you He did die.
