| Did you guys hear that Rey Parra is leaving Sacred Warrior? Crazy stuff! I read the article: - Quote :
Fans of Sacred Warrior will be surprised to learn that front man Rey Parra has stepped down from the band. Here’s what Rey Parra had to say to the fans on the Official SW facebook: _________________ Hello Family and friends, Well, it is with great sadness that I have to share this with everyone. Just as a man’s steps are ordered by the Lord, I believe that he is leading me in a direction that does not include Sacred Warrior. We have been trying to finish this record for quite some time now, yet it has proved to be too difficult with time and distance between me and the guys. I have been trying to break away to Chicago but it has not worked out, I do not want to hold the guys or the album back, so i decided to step down as vocalist and make room for advancement. We are remaining best of friends. Distance and time are the main role players in my decision. Thank you so much to all my friends and all the warrior fans, I love you all and thanks for the memories guys, Tony, Bruce, Steve and Joe, I wish you guys the best. I know that the Lord will bring someone to the band that will bring about freshness and new excitement for the fans. Blessings, Rey ________________ Oddly, the band released the album cover for the new album ‘Waiting in Darkness’ while coinciding it with a “talent search” for a new lead vocalist replacement. Little is known as to whether Rey’s vocals will be on the new album at all or if a new vocalist will redo any and all vocal parts. This writer has to wonder, after such a long wait for fans, will Sacred Warrior be able to bounce back from another huge setback and will fans embrace someone else belting out Master’s Command. Time will tell and I’m sure that many will be curious, if not anxious, to hear the new sound of Sacred Warrior.

I kind of hope Eli doesn't do it as I can't understand what he is saying when he sings. He blames that on the production on each of the 3 albums. Without a lyric sheet, I can't follow him. Sacred Warrior with Rey just isn't the same. Even if they get someone else who sounds like him, I don't know that I would buy another CD of theirs as SW has never been big players for me. I like them, but they aren't my favorite by any means. _________________ I might have decided, or maybe not, that I should or shouldn't, depending on the issue or non-issue, to possibly share or not share, any thoughts, opinions, or facts (that might not be deemed factual by some), due to possible fear of any misinterpretation or retribution. https://christianhardmusic.niceboard.com/ | |

They haven't put out any new music in such a long time I've never really thought of them as being 'together'....
Distance is crippling....

| Now that Eli from The Sacrificied has the job, I think I am going to pass on new music from SW. I just don't care for his voice.
