They are releasing thier new album The End Is Where We Begin independentaley. They have a kickstarter campaign going on. Looks like they will also be touring with Red/Manafest & Nine Lives next year as well.

Ahhhh you beat me to the punch Chosen! lol! I really wouldn't be surprised if they reach their goal within a day at the rate they're moving. It's been 30 minutes and they have already raised $3,500. They're not exactly on Five Iron Frenzy's pace, but a fairly encouraging pace nonetheless!

I wonder if they got dropped (for some odd reason) or were just tired of sharing 90% of their sales with a record label.

It could be a combination of the two.
Either way, I do like TFK. However, I am not crazy about the whole Kickstarter program. I still think it looks unprofessional to me. I'll get the album when it releases, but I don't like the whole pledging thing.

The funding was complete in less than a day. All the TFK fans are getting a free song as a result!
My brother gave some. He's a TFK fan.

This is what I have found on the link silenthunder has given.
Why did you leave Tooth & Nail Records?
We love Tooth and Nail, we'll always be family, but this is something we wanted to try on our own. We thought and prayed about it a great deal, there were a lot of humbling offers on the table from labels, and at the end of the day, we felt led to do this. It's a whole new frontier for us, it's like going back to the way we started, but there's nothing more exciting than when you HAVE to trust God! We care so much about the people who support this band, whether you've been here with us for 15 years or just heard us on iTunes, and this will give us new ways to share our musical experience in a closer way than ever before.

^^ AWESOME.
Very glad to see a good band like TFK continuing post-label and trying the indie thing. Hopefully it will mean better return for them on their investment and better ability to support themselves and their families.

I completely forgot to post it here, but here's a lyric video they released for new song War of Change a few days ago:
