I'm not sure if this is a scam or not, but it ticked me off anyway.

I got someone requesting something from my trade list. So I agreed to send it. Less than an hour later I got this message from the intended recipient.
Quote :
could you please NOT send this?? I just bought it last week! If you could perhaps send the Jeff Deyo instead?

My first thought was "come on dude, keep your list updated". So of course I told him/her "no, just e-mail lala and tell them you want to cancel the trade."
Then I thought, hmm I wonder if this is just a ploy to get at other discs on people's lists? But that seems like it would be kinda difficult to orchestrate, and all you would need to do is just put that disc on your own "wants" list.

Sounds like a scam to me. If the dude doesn't want it, make him cancel the trade. That way his 'karma' gets dinged. Otherwise, you ship it and get your trade credit.

That's my problem with E-bay too.
You never know if you really get the stuff you've bought.

Yup, I pretty much gave up on E-bay.

I haven't bought anything from Ebay in a LONG time.
