What will you be definitely listening to this Christmas ? What's your fav Christmas album ? What's your oldest Christmas album that you still play every year ?
My new fav is the Happy Christmas compilation vol 5 from 2010.
Finally something clever - The heat miser and cold miser songs from that Santa cartoon (love this one):

I'm not a big fan of Christmas music, but wife plays our local Christian radio station (which starts playing Christmas music on Thanksgiving day).
She also listens to a Faith Hill and Nat King Cole Christmas album. She used to have a Kenny G Christmas album but that one got accidentally broken on purpose maliciously.

I'm no Christmas music fan. However, our music class is doing a concert for Christmas.
The TFK song you posted is pretty darn cool. It sounds more like the industrial/grunge era of Skillet.

His Merry Christmas album was the main one I heard growing up. Timeless material there. I could (and sometimes do) listen to it over and over.

I am unashamedly a big fan of GOOD Christmas music. I have been waiting until Thanksgiving to break it out, but I don't think it will work.
Some of my favorites (right now) are:
Halford Winter Songs Twister Sister Christmas Russ Taff Christmas The Excelsis series (gothic) Ted Kirkpatrick Ancient Christmas Amy Grant's Christmas albums
and I like Kenny G's original Christmas album
I got a bunch of TSO stuff at the end of the Christmas season last year that I didn't get a chance to listen to, so I'm looking forward to it this year.
Christmas music I can't stand:
Wham--Last Christmas That depressing John Lennon/Yoko Ono song All the "starving children" songs from the 80s Anything involving dead parents (Christmas Shoes is the one that comes to mind, but I know there are others)

For those of you Christmas music fans looking for something different you might want to try the new Ted Kirkpatrick album "Ancient Christmas" that Messiaen mentioned in his post...you can can stream the whole album here.

Silly idea… Stryper should make a Christmas album with Reason For The Season and others… and release it as "To The North Pole With Santa"… and make their logo white and pink…

I tried listening to a couple of tracks and nothing really grabbed me. I think I will pass on this one.

Yep, Ted's album didn't do anything for me either. Nothing wrong with it, just not my thing.

I won't be picking up the Ted Christmas album either, but it doesn't surprise me....I haven't been a fan of any of his solo stuff and I don't really care for Christmas music so.....

The Kutless disc is pretty good. I have the expanded edition, but the 4 extra songs don't really add to the project. Two of the bonus songs were previously released on Kutless projects and have been remixed with jingle bells to give it a Christmas feel.
My overall impression of "This Is Christmas": If you like Kutless' worship projects, then this will be right up your alley. If you don't like the worship records, then steer clear of this.

I forgot to mention that I also like Avalon's Christmas project (not the metal band--the CCM pop group) and also Big Daddy Weave's project. Both did very fun renditions of classic hymns and added some new songs.
