I saw this on JesusFreakHideout.com and thought it was newsworthy. Apparently Atlantic Records has been busy signing We As Human. I haven't heard anything from this band since 2008 when they released their Burning Satellites EP. Here's the official release:
Quote :
Atlantic Records has announced its signing of We As Human. The hard-hitting rock band has released their label debut EP, produced by Grammy Award-winning producer Nick Raskulinecz (Rush, Foo Fighters, Deftones, Alice In Chains).
We As Human will make the EP available to fans attending their national tour supporting fellow Atlantic recording group Skillet, whose frontman, John Cooper, discovered the band. The EP is the first release through a newly launched imprint label, a partnership between Cooper, longtime Skillet manager Zachary Kelm and attorney Todd Rubenstein. The eagerly anticipated “Awake & Alive Tour” is currently underway through mid-November (see attached itinerary). Joining We As Human and Skillet on the multi-artist bill is Disciple and Manafest. For full details and ticket information, please visit www.weashuman.com/tour_dates.
Based in Northern Idaho, We As Human emerged as a powerful new force in hard rock with the release of their 2006 debut album, “UNTIL WE’RE DEAD.” The “BURNING SATELLITES” EP followed in 2008, highlighted by the explosive singles, “Dead Man” and “Fly” (featured on a nationally televised ad campaign for TimeGate’s ground-breaking, first-person shooter game Section .
The five-man band has also proven a stunning live act, with multiple headline and support tours under their belts, as well as stage-stealing appearances at such annual gatherings as Creation Festival and Cornerstone Festival. We As Human is currently hard at work recording their full-length Atlantic Records debut album. The as-yet-untitled collection is slated for release in 2012.

I remember them and will see them on the Winterjam 2012 tour. They are going to be opening and Skillet will be the main event. Should be a great year!
