Forevertree has a new album coming out this year titled "Z", they have had the single "Zombie" released for several month now, but they have a video for it now too. I think it sounds really good, maybe their best yet.

Now THAT's what I'm talking about! Some gritty, dirty sounding metal! If this comes out this year, Sarepta will lose it's place as top dog. The new Ashes Remains that his this month could also topple it.

I know what you mean. I just picked up their 2009 release "Alien" and little while ago and have been spinning it pretty regular. "Alien" is definately a major step up from their "Turning" album, and it sounds like the new music might be even better than Alien. Definately an album on the top of my "want's list".
Now if I could just find somewhere to download the Sarepta album from (other than itunes).

It's a great song, but a bit too "grrrr" for me.

Face it Fundy, at my age I just don't "grrrr" as hard as some of you younger pups.

If you're growling at me, you had better be initiating a mating ritual!
(If you're a Klingon, this makes sense!)
I've been listening to this song and am excited. I like the Grrrr factor and the music. At least there is an album coming out that I am really excited about now.

Forevertree sounds pretty cool but am uncertain how to describe them: Are they a modern metal band going after a classic hard rock sound or rather the prodigal sons of Resurrection Band attempting to "go modern"?
Needless to say, I am a bit confused here...

They are a grunge metal band from the 90's attempting to modernize.

Bingo!
There first album (Turning) had a heavy 90's Seattle grunge vibe (they borrowed heavily from Alice in Chains). They have since made their music more aggressive with crunchier guitars.
