| A band that have changed all the way along their history.
1991 - Sweet Destiny. Many fans favourite of Siloams albums. I'm pretty keen on this, but it's their follow up "Dying To Live" which left me thinking "WOW!" I still think it is one of Christian Rocks finest albums. The production is superb and I just love the lyrics and layers throughout. Their last two albums aren't my thing at all (although I've only heard one song from their last one).
Anyone else think that Dying To Live is better than Sweet Destiny, or is it just me?!!

| I do prefere Dying to Live over Sweet Destiny, but not by much. Both great records IMO. Now I have never even heard their third album, which I understand was a significant departure from their "hair metal" kind of sound. _________________ "I used to be indecisive.......... Now I'm not sure."

| If "Sweet Destiny" was mixed/mastered the same as its follow up, I think your perception of it would be different. I like them both equally. I did have the 3rd one "Crock" and it was just horrid. Total alternative crap. _________________ I might have decided, or maybe not, that I should or shouldn't, depending on the issue or non-issue, to possibly share or not share, any thoughts, opinions, or facts (that might not be deemed factual by some), due to possible fear of any misinterpretation or retribution. https://christianhardmusic.niceboard.com/ | |

| Don't Eat The Paste (I think it was called) is their 4th album and is even further away from the original sound than Crock was. Both are probably good if you like the style, but I just didn't like the style at all. However "In The Ghetto" from Crock was a very good song.

| "Dying To Live" has songs that thouched my heart. That's my favorite Siloam album too. "Sweet Destiny" has great songs too. I have listened to "Crock", but was disappointed about this third Siloam CD. | |

Is that the same song Elvis Presley sang? _________________ "I used to be indecisive.......... Now I'm not sure."

| Yes, that's the one. I didn't realise Elvis sung that song, but I've just found out it's the same one. I did know it was a cover, but didn't realise who first sung it.

| Love me some Siloam. Like everyone else, I like only the first two records. I like them both probably equally, but if you force me to choose, I choose "Sweet Destiny". However, their best song IMO is Welcome to Despair from "Dying To Live". | |

| The only Siloam record I have is "Dying to Live" and I rather enjoy it. Has anyone here heard "Crock"? Is it any good or worth tracking down, other than for collect-ability purposes? | |

I like as much alternative as I do metal, and I have to say that "Crock" was just bad all around. If you must have it to complete the collection, go ahead. But, don't say you weren't warned.
