| Ok back to some modern rock for this vs. poll. I figured since Red had a new album out I would pit them against another well established band and let you have at it....
For my money I went with Day of Fire, both their debut and their last album are absolutely essential IMO. I only have Red's "Innocence & Instinct" disc, and while it has some great songs, some of it comes across as very "samey" to me.

| Since I own everything both bands have put out, I have to give the slight edge to Red. Plus DoF is (temporarily) defunct, resulting in more exposure and publicity for Red. |

| I think between these two bands particularly, I'd go with Day of Fire. I love me some RED, but I give the edge to Day of Fire because of preference in style. I like the grittier southern rock edge just a bit more than the ambiance of RED. | |

| I think that Day Of Fire was better overall. I thought both of the first 2 albums were phenomenal. The 3rd didn't catch my attention quite as much, but it was still a strong effort. It just felt more demo-ish to me.
With Red, a lot of their material just doesn't stand out to me. Maybe it's the lack of a marketable single or singles. _________________ I might have decided, or maybe not, that I should or shouldn't, depending on the issue or non-issue, to possibly share or not share, any thoughts, opinions, or facts (that might not be deemed factual by some), due to possible fear of any misinterpretation or retribution. https://christianhardmusic.niceboard.com/

| I'm a little surprised, I expected Red to do much better (and possibly even win over Day of Fire). But we havent heard from ChosenOne yet (I kinda expect him to go with Red), and we only have about half of our regular votes so far. SilentThunder, you surprised me with this one, I expected you to go with Red! _________________ "I used to be indecisive.......... Now I'm not sure."

| These polls are tough because I like both bands really well. I think Day of Fire was really good and it's a shame they broke up. Red's new one is really good as well and they don't dissapoint. I took the easy way out and went with the both are to fantastic pick | |

If it were any other band, I would have gone with RED. But like I've said before, I'm a sucker for southern rock/metal.

Hey, not all the polls are modern rock bands. You need to go weigh in on the Narnia vs ReinXeed vs Golden Resurrection poll here.... http://www.christianhardmusic.com/t3439-narnia-vs-reinxeed-vs-golden-resurrection Or even the Saint vs Sacred Warrior thread here.... http://www.christianhardmusic.com/t3410-saint-vs-sacred-warrior _________________ "I used to be indecisive.......... Indeed! I think these little polls have been kind of fun, lets us get to know each others musical tastes a little better. _________________ "I used to be indecisive.......... Now I'm not sure."

| Anything to spur a little discussion about the music that excites us, right? I enjoy a poll every once and awhile. I wouldn't want the board filled with multiples every day, but what we have now is just enough to be fun. Keep 'em coming, and don't just do metal or modern rock. You can change it up some. it might even be fun to pit some bands against one another across genres since we are definitely more than just a bunch of metalheads here. _________________ I might have decided, or maybe not, that I should or shouldn't, depending on the issue or non-issue, to possibly share or not share, any thoughts, opinions, or facts (that might not be deemed factual by some), due to possible fear of any misinterpretation or retribution. https://christianhardmusic.niceboard.com/ | |

| I picked Red simply because I have heard more of their music, and I like it. I may have heard about 4 Day of Fire songs, if that. | |
