What do you think of the older CDs remasters and so?
Some band are remastering their older CDs.

You know, most of us have the older CDs, and I always wonder, what do I have to do with some older Cds and some never remastered CDs of the same band?

I only consider remasters if:

A) I don't have the CD already. A remaster is a great way to get some long out of print music that you may have missed.

B) There is a significant change in the sound of the CD to make it seem almost like a new project. The new Bloodgood albums are good examples of this.

C) There is sufficient, high-quality bonus materials being added to the disc. With there being 4 songs I have never heard coming on the new Ransom reissue, I might just have to grab that one.

I still need to get those Bloodgood remasters, I also want to get my hands on the Sacred Warrior one too.

It is hard to see me buying most remasters for sound quality. I can't tell much of a difference most of the time and I have a majority of the ones coming out as originals.
