I'll think about this, but I just don't know about paying $32 just to get a jump on everyone else. Are those "bonus songs" just tracks that will be on the CD, but in a rawer format?

I found the track listing that someone who already has the album has posted:
Quote :
1. Dear X, You Don't Own Me 2. Watch It Burn 3. Invisible 4. The Ballad Of St. Augustine 5. Shot Heard 'Round The World 6. Collision 7. Battle Lines 8. Remedy 9. Eternity 10. Revolution: Now 11. Deafening 12. Worth The Pain
So as you can see, all those "unreleased" tracks really are songs not on the original album. My guess is that they will be available on the Deluxe Edition of the album. If I get the money anytime soon, I might just pick this up. I can always use a new shirt as well lol

I read on their messageboard that the unreleased songs are demos that didn't make the album and I think some were even mastered yet. It is as tempting offer, but I think I am going to wait but that is this week

That's ok, I'm not much of a fan either and I have heard lots of songs.

I'm a total fanboy and have most of their songs. I just don't feel like spending that much dough right now.

It's only for people in the US.
I think I need to listen first to some more songs of the H & H stuff. Yes, I'm a Disciple fan, but a selective one.

I'm a Disciple fan. Not a huge fan, but a fan nonetheless. Looking forward to the album, but I wouldn't pay that much for it (even if I did live in the US). I'm gonna be waiting for the official release with less tracks!!!!!!

Here's a few of the songs that I found on youtube (the first is my favorite of the 3):

That just seems kind of odd to me. It says on the site that one of the songs is the title track, Horseshoes and Hand Grenades. If it didn't make the cut, then why make it the album title? But anyway, from the songs I've heard this definitely has album of the year potential. It sounds like he is utilizing a wider vocal range (the thing I loved the most about Scars Remain) and it sounds like they've added more double bass (but not too much that it makes it boring). I will, however, admit that I will miss the southern metal feel that Southern Hospitality had (I'm a sucker for it), but I also loved the feel of Scars Remain. And from what I've heard so far, it sounds like that's just what we're going to get.

Sounds good. They've changed and are alot more slick than they used to be, and much more commerical sounding, but it still works pretty good.
They're also getting more rock/hard rock sounding than they've ever done before - it'll probably appeal to the masses more than their past albums.

It sounds very generic to me. They were mixing metal and modern rock on the last one, and even added lead guitars to songs that most bands would not have. These songs could have been leftovers from the newest Skillet album, and I hear no leads on these songs. There's nothing "new" or really original about these three songs whatsoever. While they will have a nice commercial feel, Disciple has completely transformed itself into a generic copycat band. They tried this on the self-titled, and the fans complained so that they had to add back the leads on "Scars Remain" and "Southern Hospitality". I am guessing that their old fans remind them that this ain't the Disciple they originally liked. They might as well change their name to DiSkillet.

That's funny you should say that, 'cause I almost posted "They sound alot like Skillet".

See, I don't mind this Disciple. Don't get me wrong but I enjoyed TMSAL/BG & BA but honestly I have liked everything from the s/t and on a lot more. Just from those additional samples I am blown away and absolutley am looking forward to this album a lot. It is right up my ally.

I've been listening to some more of their songs on youtube and now I've listened to......
1. Dear X, You Don't Own Me
3. Invisible
4. The Ballad Of St. Augustine
5. Shot Heard 'Round The World 11. Deafening
12. Worth The Pain
And there's probably all the tracks on youtube. Gotta say I love the style. It's not my usual thing, but it works!

I listened to all three of those songs that ST posted, and while I gotta admit this is probably the best sounding vocals I have heard from the band (and I actually like the music too) I'm not gonna run out and buy the album. The "Deafening" track sounds like it was taken straight from one of the last two Skillet albums.

I still just don't have the $$$ for the preorder. Besides, the t-shirt sizes won't cover me. If they had a preorder deal that got you the CD, the early download, and the bonus tracks, I would be more tempted to spend the money.

Got a chance to hear the whole disc. The whole project sounds very much like Skillet and is more akin to the S/T releases. All the leads that the band brought back in on "Southern Hospitality" are gone. They tried this before, and their fan base was not thrilled. What were they thinking?

After my first listen, I will say that I am not excited at all. The songs are decent, but not outstanding.

It means H & H isn't better than "Southern Hospitality? Before I order this CD I would love to listen more samples. I've had before I ordered a Disciple CD and didn't like it.

Check out the stuff on youtube, they've got all the songs. Battlelines is really heavy! I'm liking this album more and more at the moment.

I've been listening to the MP3s and got the CD today. The songs have grown on me, but there is just something missing on this project besides just the leads. I don't foresee this being my favorite Disciple disc any time soon.
