| Hello,
I recently added reviews of albums by The Sacrificed ("2012") and James Guest ("Klenzd") to Angelic Warlord. Following are the links:
The Sacrificed: http://www.angelicwarlord.com/reviews/s/thesacrificed10.html
James Guest: http://www.angelicwarlord.com/reviews/g/jamesguest05.html
I have also added several extensive news updates as well.
Thanks,
Andy | |

| Very cool, I saw the James Guest review a few days ago, but I need to read the one for The Sacrificed. _________________ "I used to be indecisive.......... Now I'm not sure."

| I'm just not very impressed with The Sacrificed. The music is good, but there are just no stand out tracks to me. _________________ I might have decided, or maybe not, that I should or shouldn't, depending on the issue or non-issue, to possibly share or not share, any thoughts, opinions, or facts (that might not be deemed factual by some), due to possible fear of any misinterpretation or retribution. https://christianhardmusic.niceboard.com/ | |

| Thanks- I agree that there are some modern elements to The Sacrificed's sound. And I say that in a positive sense.
Also, just want to let everyone know there will not be an Angelic Warlord update this weekend- I have been putting in too many overtime hours at work the past couple of weeks. But with the overtime project done I plan to have reviews of new CD's from Oracle ("Desolate Kings") and Testify ("Pushing Back Darkness") online next weekend.

| A question for you Dynamis.
I was searching for a Rex Carroll Band review. To read what your thoughts are over this new CD Rex has released. Maybe I have missed the review?

| Here is the link: http://www.angelicwarlord.com/reviews/c/therexcarrollband10.html
It is probably difficult to find because I filed it under the letter "C" as opposed to "R". One thing I am going to have to look into is adding a search engine to the site.
Also, I am back to long overtime hours again - this week and next - so while I should have an update this weekend I cannot guarantee both the Oracle and Testify reviews. At least one of the two should be ready.

| Thanks dynamis, I have searched on your site for a Rex Carroll Band review but never found it.
I'm very interested to read your review over Testify. Oracle is a band I have to check out.

| I got the James Guest album. I have to disagree with your review...to me, the vocals are probably the weakest point. The songwriting is really good, and the vocals don't ruin the album, but they hold it back. He sounds a lot like the singer on Letter 7's Follow The Light album (who I also didn't like too well). The music here is outstanding. I really like it. Overall, I'd give the album a 75/100. If his voice wasn't so high-pitched, I think it could easily be a 90/100. | |

| Thanks for the observation- I see where you are coming from. I actually like high-pitched vocals and, as a result, enjoyed Steve Young's work on "Follow The Light". So I guess it all comes down to personal preference; and besides, we are only off by 5 percentage points in our final grade of the album. | |

| I'm not a huge fan of the really high-pitched vocals, but I really liked both James Guest's album and the last Letter Seven album. _________________ "I used to be indecisive.......... Now I'm not sure."

I think there must be a difference between "high pitched vocals" and "really high pitched vocals": High Pitched: James Guest Steve Young (Letter 7) Really High Pitched David Taylor (Jacobs Dream) Ski (Faith Factor) Personally, I enjoy both categories but can understand how someones tastes might differ.

Personally, I enjoy both categories but can understand how someones tastes might differ. See I like all four of those bands, but both Ski's and David Taylors vocals can get on my nerves sometimes after a couple of songs. But for some reason "Theater of War" is still my favorite Jacob's Dream album (great disc). _________________ "I used to be indecisive.......... Now I'm not sure."

| Y'know...this James Guest album is growing on me significantly. The song "Glory" is amazing. This CD reminds me a bit of Hovland's album from a few years ago. It took me a while, but that one grew on me too, and became a favorite. This is starting to have the same effect on me. I really like this! | |

| The Hovland disc, while well done, was just too slow and draggy. Is this James Guest CD the same? If so, I'll save my $$$ and just fire up the Letter 7 again.

| James Guest has much more in common with Letter 7 than Hovland. Very highly recommended if you enjoy AOR and melodic rock with a hard rock edge. | |

| I really love Jame's lyrics. He is actually working on another album but with a full band this time (and a different name). Their name escapes me now for some reason. _________________ "I used to be indecisive.......... Now I'm not sure."
