| I just updated Angelic Warlord to include reviews of upcoming albums from King James ("The Fall" re-issue) and The Rex Carroll Band ("That Was Then, This Is Now"). Following are the links:
http://www.angelicwarlord.com/reviews/k/kingjames10.html http://www.angelicwarlord.com/reviews/c/therexcarrollband10.html
I also completed a fairly significant news update as well (on the sites home page).
Next week look for reviews of new albums by XINR and Stairway. Pastor Brad ("Break Out"), Dead Moons Grey ("DMG") and Legacy should follow shortly thereafter.
Thanks,
Andy | |

| One thing I miss on these two reviews was the more in-depth examination of the lyrics. I always appreciated that in past reviews. _________________ I might have decided, or maybe not, that I should or shouldn't, depending on the issue or non-issue, to possibly share or not share, any thoughts, opinions, or facts (that might not be deemed factual by some), due to possible fear of any misinterpretation or retribution. https://christianhardmusic.niceboard.com/ | |

| I forgot to add that deciphering and transcribing lyrics is one of the more time consuming aspects of writing reviews- and the time involved literally doubles when you do not have a lyric sheet to work with.
The two reviews I will be adding next week - the new Stairway and XINR - will have a breakdown of the lyrics.
The Dead Moons Grey CD does include lyrics in the packaging but "Break Out" by Pastor Brad does not.

| That's one of the things I hate about albums - no lyrics. It's just really annoying to have a really good song in your head but you can't work out a couple of words....
Something like.......
"The pain in all this agony just bring my soul to BLANK"
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
Lyric sheets are a necessity.
Thanks again for your reviews Andy. Another top class job.

| THE FALL Falling thru a hole in my mind tell me exactly what is my crime need you yeah I´m under stress help me help me out off this mess
streetwise, vandalized, lust between the lines I am compromised, baiting for a bite Jesus, show me where I need to go betrayed, underpaid, will I ever know
Why must I bear this cross, groan under the weight down, yes I´m fallen down, is it ever to late need to fell your touch, too weak to help myself fell so lonely - ease my pain fading slowly - down the drain
take my worries I can´t get ahead I´m still falling, hanging by a thread
NEVER IS FOREVER Jack’s in the box he’s ready to jump down pop goes the weasel to the ground the dreams keep coming and the nightmares stay when I needed you, you went away
never is forever there’s no goin’ back what could I do
You never leave when I say goodbye the pain of emptiness inside if tears would bring you back I’ve an ocean full just with that you could’ve stayed
FRENZY What’s up with society racist redneck wannabes politics can’t find the cure can the human race endue
locked up behind closed doors hidden from all view media plays in all the mind games leaving out all the clues
we the people have to say we the people have to say
what is the truth – feed us no lies help us to remember – the soul never dies
searching for our sanity spirit speaks of peace hatred a commodity waiting for release
SWING OF THE STREET tell me your story now don’t be discreet i know your occupation swing of the streets
You walk away hear your mother cry listen to her pray Jesus saves
john wants to take you home his kids in bed tonight you’re all alone and the streets are dead
addiction to this flesh you wish it would die for what you’re giving away no money should buy
SPREADING OF LOVE how many times have i told you before I’d be there just to let you down
you must know everywhere I go it’s you I’m thinking of am I too late for your
spreading love ain’t easy to turn away so easy giving up made easy don’t turn you fool you need me
am i a jerk for believing life after deat, the preacher claims am i one receiving another promise that cannot be explained
PALE BEYOND THE DOOR now what have I done i am much too young, trading innocence for pain will not let me be giving misery sucking my life away lying on my bed death is in my head attack me to the core lever’s in my brain day begins to wane pale beyond the door no remorse no recourse i don’t want to i don’t want to die everything i love everything i am taken away from me desire gone to fight obfuscate the light blackness all i see what will it mean when i am gone nine years of living, now my living’s not for long there was no time to say “I’ll see you again my friend” someday we’ll be together where love will never end i am but a shell in a living hell slowly turning numb becoming more obtuse in the end i lose my life at last undone
THE CALLING is your number up, roll the dice and play count your lucky stars that it’s not today fear the judgment call, calling your name good intentions made, they’re all the same
living for a reason, same old way tomorrow isn’t promised so you live for today
i hear you calling, keep me from falling i rear you calling for me now
how can i ignore when the signs are real closing up the door to the spirit you feel listen to the heart, hear it in the voice it’s never too late for you to make a choice
rake me over the coals i can’t take it no more pick the pieces up lying on the floor
A VISION dreaming of a better place where there’s no return waiting to see your smiling face a lesson learned
do you know what it feels like do you know my shame (the pain)
stuck in the middle – nobody knows there’s barney rubble – go fred go pick a side – choose the one right or wrong – nothing’s done everybody knows – living too fast who is strong – who will last can’t get enough – of a good thing pinch me now – it’s a bad dream
feelings, people really don’t care if they hurt me losers are last on the page of sympathy
BORROWED TIME when faith is near logic set on fire daft people fall just ignore it all
I am not pointing a finger but the shoe fits us all
we live on borrowed time it’s not ours to own
think that we’re promised yet another day? there is no reason to church it all away
we built ‘em bigger and better then the flatter they fall
and still we mortgage our future never learn form the past
HEAVEN IS FOR EVERYONE Break down the barriers Listen thru the walls Secrets of the ages Will have to tell it all
Faces they change, and life, it goes on A dirty deed is done and nobody's home
Heaven is near, calling you here Heaven is for everyone
Gone but not forgotten I hear He's coming soon A critic of the master Plays a different tune _________________ My Christian Metal Website......... Silence Is Madness

| I was thinking more of the Rex Carroll Band lyrics. I already have the original of The Fall.

| That was what I missed to in the reviews of Rex Carroll Band and King James. I always read the parts of the lyrics you have written in a review.

| Fundy,
Thanks for typing up the lyrics! This is a great help. I plan to update the review later this afternoon with a breakdown of the lyrics when I get back from work.

| That is good news!
I have my preorder in for the Rex Carroll CD. I want to hear some of the King James CD before I rebuy it. I know--it's been remastered, but I like the way it sounds now.
I've also got the new Since October preordered. I wish I could find a Disciple preorder, and I'll have my summer jams bought. _________________ I might have decided, or maybe not, that I should or shouldn't, depending on the issue or non-issue, to possibly share or not share, any thoughts, opinions, or facts (that might not be deemed factual by some), due to possible fear of any misinterpretation or retribution. https://christianhardmusic.niceboard.com/

| I think I am one of the few people who just thought that King James' "The Fall" was only ok. I dig a couple of the songs on the disc but I get kind of bored if I have to listen to the whole album all the way through. _________________ "I used to be indecisive.......... Now I'm not sure."

| I just uploaded a revised version of "The Fall" review with a breakdown of the lyrics to half the tracks (which is the number that I usually do). Once again, Fundy, thanks for the help! I even offered an extra word of thanks at the end of the review.
My main concern, as always, is that I am correctly interpreting the meaning behind the lyrics- always try to be as accurate as possible but you never know.

| Hi andy, no trouble.
Hi gary, I'm with you on that. I much prefer their first album to The Fall, and apart from a few songs I get bored of it quickly.

| The Rex Carroll Band CD is a "must have" CD for me. I'm not sure to order the King James CD. If the CD sounds the same as the first CD there's no need to order this version. | |

| I really like "The Fall" with it's Alice In Chains vibe. However, I prefer their debut and would have loved to hear more in that vein.

| I have the S/T King James album and love it, but I haven't heard "The Fall." Is there enough of a difference to go after the re-issue instead? Or should I just concentrate on getting the original release? | |
