Ok, with the talk of the new LnJ CD coming soon, I just wanted to know what your favorite project of theirs is. You may vote only once, but you can change your mind. So, let's have some fun with this and give a much deserved artist some props.

"Sound Track Of A Soul " is the only CD I have from LNJ.
So that's my favorite.

You've got to check out "Light It Up". It is a VERY strong project with some awesome tunes. You also get to hear me on one song. OK, it's my favorite LNJ release despite my playing on it.

I thought I have voted for "Sound Track Of A Soul".
Now I really have to check out "Light It Up".

Ok for some reason I don't even own Welcome to the Revolution.
But I think my favorite would have to be "Soundtrack of a Soul", but not by much of a margin, because "Independence Day" and "Light it Up" are both fantastic as well. You really can't go wrong with Ln'J's all-star albums.

Are there online samples of " Light It Up"?

If you go to their myspace site, they have a song titled "Light it Up Preview Medly" that features some of the album tracks. But all the rest of the myspace songs are from their greatest hits album.

I like the songs of "Light It Up".

Now we talk about Liberty 'N Justice it's remarkable Justin has a lot of guest vocalist/ musicians.
Is Justin writing the lyrics of the songs and asks people to do the vocals and the music?

Justin gets help on the lyrics sometimes, too. I know that Shawn Pelata wrote the lyrics for "Beautiful Decison".

I'm all for getting help with lyrics. Four of the songs I hope to someday finish were either lyrics of someone else's or a collaboration with another writer.

My vote is for Light it Up. The only one I don't have is WTTR, which I have heard is a mix bag (to much rap was one I heard). But Light it Up is just absolutley stellar. Not a bad or weak song on it, the vocals and music are tight. No complaints. I suspect that this could make my top 5 in my year end album of the year, top 10 for sure

thanks guys..to answer your question I write or co-write the lyrics, music and/ or melody. If anything I would say I am a good hook writer.....

PS Shawn Pelata is a great person to co-write with, sometimes i can get to "wordy" and Shawn (being a singer) tightens my idea or lyric and makes it
ALOT stronger. Plus he is so serious and I am so goofy it works well

On "Beautiful Decision" alldat is right Shawn wrote the verses and I wrote the chorus.....

Now I need to start writing with alldat so he can make me a better bass player

Wrestling With God is probably my favorite track on the album. I really like Pete Lorans voice. Never had heard of him, till LnJ. The other day I was in my local half price book store and picked up the s/t Trixter album.

Plus kudos to Justin on that song, the Adriangale/Crunch refrences was pretty cool

"Wrestling with God" is certainly a heavy contender for my album favortie too. But I also really like "Man vs Mother Nature" (Ted Poley is fantastic), "Treading on Serpents", "Best Time You Never Had" and "Drunk Dead Gorgeous". All that to say there isn't a weak song on the whole album (a rariety with most artists).

It really is hard for me to pick a favorite on those L N' J albums. But it's a problem I'm certainly willing to live with.

I listened to some songs of the CD "Light It Up" and I will order this CD.
Sounds great.

I remember the name of Shawn Petala, he was a member of a band.
I have forgotten the name of the band.

What I think it's good to get help with writing lyrics, two know more than one.
When you are alone, you never can ask someone to give their opinion about the lyrics you have written.

What seems to be difficult Justin is to find the vocalist to sing the songs on your CD.
