| Whilst cycling to my friends house I went passed a sign, which said......... Is that you, and a mate? And how long have you been in the double glazing business? Fundy _________________ My Christian Metal Website......... Silence Is Madness

| NO WAY! That is hilarious. No not me, but one of my father's cousins is a glazer (not his company though).
My screen-name actually comes from a nick-name I got in the Army. Sta-brite was a brand of military insignia. They came pre-polished and would stay that way (usually for a few years). The insigina issued by the army required that you polish it as often as you needed to use it (almost daily in some cases). So the Sta-brite brand of insignia was very popular amongst U.S. soldier.
So now how I got my name. My last name is Stielow, and I had a reputation of being a very good soldier (way back in the day). I actually recieved an award as a private that most soliders didn't recieve until after making sergeant (usually a few years later), and was given quite a bit of responsiblity. One of my platoon leaders used to use me as a good example for new soldiers (often to my chagrin). He started calling me Staybrite Stielow, and several other of my company leaders picked it up until I was stuck with the name.
When I came to CHM I was having a difficult time coming up with a name. I tried several that were allready taken, so out of exasperation I tried "Staybrite". _________________ "I used to be indecisive.......... Now I'm not sure."

| Good story, staybrite. I've wondered in the past about why you are called what you are, and now I know!
I'll have to email the Double Glazing company and tell them they've stolen your name!

| I thought the Staybrite name was just referring to your bald head! _________________ I might have decided, or maybe not, that I should or shouldn't, depending on the issue or non-issue, to possibly share or not share, any thoughts, opinions, or facts (that might not be deemed factual by some), due to possible fear of any misinterpretation or retribution. https://christianhardmusic.niceboard.com/ | |

| You really have to do that Gary, you never know how many royalties they will give you.
It's nice to know the story behind a name. | |

For some reason I doubt they will give me any royalties. Even if they did it would be in British Pounds, or Euros. - alldat wrote:

That's the fun of being short and mostly bald, the glare off my head blinds all those tall people who think they are so superior. _________________ "I used to be indecisive.......... Now I'm not sure."
