| I woke up several times in the night with the feeling that the room was spinning. I even had to hang on to the bed a few times as the room felt like it was flipping. No, I don't use drugs or alcohol, so don't even go there--even though I would if it were you. Even when I got up this morning and got in the shower, I had two spells where I had to hang on to the wall to keep from falling.
I went to the doctor, and they did an EKG and a few other things to determine that I'm not having a stroke, heart attack or anything else major. I just have a case of vertigo. My mom used to have this pretty bad sometimes, and they just called it "inner ear trouble" back then. _________________ I might have decided, or maybe not, that I should or shouldn't, depending on the issue or non-issue, to possibly share or not share, any thoughts, opinions, or facts (that might not be deemed factual by some), due to possible fear of any misinterpretation or retribution. https://christianhardmusic.niceboard.com/

| My doctor called it this: Benign paroxysmal positional vertigo
I don't think it's a lack of sleep on my behalf. I typically sleep 7 to 8 hours every night and wake up feeling very rested.
If anything, it's the fluid behind my ears from my allergies. I've had no head trauma or any of the other causes of this. I was reading that a collection of fluid on the ears can be a trigger. I've also read that you can go to a specialist and have the Epley Maneuver that realigns the particles in your ear to stop the room from spinning.
All I can do right now is take the medicine to keep me from getting sick to my stomach and make no sudden moves. Taking antihistamines are supposed to help, and I've eating those like candy since the first of March for allergies.

| Maybe all that rain you've gotten has gone to your ears? _________________ "If you are not concerned about your neighbor's salvation, you should be concerned about your own."

| Probably. I have a lot of allergy problems right now, and the extra fluid on my ears is from that. I think, once the tree pollen levels out, that I'll be fine. _________________ I might have decided, or maybe not, that I should or shouldn't, depending on the issue or non-issue, to possibly share or not share, any thoughts, opinions, or facts (that might not be deemed factual by some), due to possible fear of any misinterpretation or retribution. https://christianhardmusic.niceboard.com/ | |

| I had something very similar a few times as well. I had a lot of fluid built-up up in my sinus cavities. What was happening was when I turned my head/rolled over etc. the fluid would cause the cilia in my inner ear to keep moving long after my head had stopped. It was tricking my brain into thinking my head was still moving and it caused the room to tilt and spin even though I was standing still. The doctor called it "labyrinthitis".
It sucks.
The doctor gave me medication for it, and it worked very well. Of course it knocked me out for about 12 to 16 hours, and I didn't see anything. But I usually felt fine (albeit groggy) when I woke up.

| Since this is starting to affect my sleep, I'd be happy with being knocked out.

| Sounds not cool. It's very strange when you feel the world around you is spinning.
My son was very allergic to for grasses and he often has fluid behind his ears. His ear really gave him many problems due the allgergy.
I hope this will be over soon. Pray for you.

| I went to my allergy doctor today who is an ear, nose, & throat specialist. He found a lot of water behind my right eardrum. There is no infection--yet. So, he gave me a fluid medicine to get the water out of there, and he gave me a 2 mg generic version of valium to help me sleep until this is over.

| I have to be careful with Valium. I had a doctor prescribe it years ago and I had a hyper-reaction to it. One 5 mg tablet knocked me out cold for about 18 hours. So, the generic is scored, and I take only half (1 mg). That slowed the spinning at night down a lot.

| Did your allergy doctor told you if the vertigo has to do with your allergies and the medication you have gotten? How's it today with the vertigo? Any better?
My son have had the same problems, lots of fluid behind his ears maked him deaf. It went much better when the doctor place tiny tubes in his ears. Yep. I know allergies is grrrrr and sometimes grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.
Valium is not cool to get, but what if it helps?

| AFter the day I had with those teenagers in a classroom, a Valium overdose would be a step UP!!!

| No, it's only to stop the vertigo. Maybe those teenagers need a shot of valium before they enter your classroom. Serve valium sandwiches for lunch at school. | |

| How does it go with the vertigo? Are you feeling better or you still have the spinnings? Or does it go better so you can go back to school? | |

| I went back on Friday to subbing. I had some very wobbly moments, but I made it. Saturday, I was feeling really good, so I mowed the yard, did some geocaching, worked on my truck's air conditioner with Sabidoo, and went shopping. Saturday night, I even slept all the way through the night without feeling like the bed was spinning. On Sunday, though, my balance was really off, and I laid down to nap that afternoon. The bed was spinning again. I've worked both yesterday and today, but I have taken it much easier.

| The good thing is that you don't have those spinnings every day anymore like last week. But now you have to loose all the spinnings.
When you see Sabidoo again give him the greetings from his friends at CHM.
