| Fans of melodic rock and AOR may want to check this out. "James grew up singing in church and joined his first rock band when he was 19 years of age. It was from there that the influences of bands like The Eagles, Journey, Foreigner, Styx, etc. began to inspire and shape his musical sound and vocal style. James's vocals can range from sweet to powerful gritty and his vocal range is virtually unlimited!" http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/guestjames | |

| I have been trying to get people to listen to this guy for more than two years. Fantastic album! He was working on a follow-up with music in the same vein, a few years back but I have no idea what happened with it. _________________ "I used to be indecisive.......... Now I'm not sure."

| Oh yes, he also has a more "acoustic rock" album, but I never got it. Not sure it is really my style. http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/jamesguest _________________ "I used to be indecisive.......... Now I'm not sure."

| I am ordering the cd today. The acoustic cd sounds pretty good also, I may buy that as well. Staybrite- do you know of any other bands along this line? I really like this type of music. | |

| I was just over at the CMR, and someone posted about a new band that James Guest has put together called "Eden's Realm".
I looks like they have re-recorded a few tracks from James' Kelnzd album, along with some demo songs he was working on a few years ago (Heart of Man, Must Be the One, & Dare to Believe) and some stuff I have never heard before. You can check them out over here. http://www.edensrealm.com/media.html
In the band bio it says the album is set to come out in 2010.
I really like this type of music as well (I really dig James vocals), but these type of bands are few and far between. I think we mentioned most of them in your "Traditional Metal" thread, but I will take a look through my cds and see if there are anymore "new classic bands". _________________ "I used to be indecisive.......... | I had that first Sweet Crystal album for awhile and for some reason I didn't care for it (I think I traded it away). I haven't checked out their latest. I know you already know about Mad Max, Cry Holy and the new Giant album. How about Arrival, I got their cd from an Amazon seller last year, it is some pretty good AOR stuff. http://www.myspace.com/musicbyarrival _________________ "I used to be indecisive..........
