| Saturday is the tour version of a professional cycle race. It's a heavy trip for us. The Mr. and I are going to do this. We bike about 75 miles. Hill up .... hill down. I have loaded my iPod full of cool music, that ought to help me when it's heavy. When you like it I can post a pic of me in my bike. | |

| I couldn't bike 7 miles--much less 75! _________________ I might have decided, or maybe not, that I should or shouldn't, depending on the issue or non-issue, to possibly share or not share, any thoughts, opinions, or facts (that might not be deemed factual by some), due to possible fear of any misinterpretation or retribution. https://christianhardmusic.niceboard.com/ | |

| Thanks Gary for cheering up. It really helps.
Demolition Man, it really helps me to climb the tough hills tomorrow while listening to cool music. You have to check it out to see if ya like it.

| Sorry, I didn't put the question right: does wearing the iPod hinder your ability to focus in on your immediate environment? and does it interfere with your ability to steer or brake? If these things aren't factors while I'm biking, I'm going to wear mine. |

| I wear my ipod (in one ear only) while I am driving and it does not hinder my focus anymore than the radio seems to. _________________ "I used to be indecisive.......... Now I'm not sure."

| I've got an FM transmitter for my Zune so I can play it through my truck stereo.

| First I made it. For the Mr. it was only a small trip. It took us 6 hours and 11 minutes till we finished.
Demolition Man, I haven't had a chance to listen to my iPod during the race. There biked 12.000 other people so it was wise to concentrate on cycling. Special when you go down hill you really have to pay attention. I wear my iPod in one ear too.

Same here. My bro sold me his outfit for $10. Works great in the car. |

| I got my transmitter off of eBay for $10. It was actually made for an iPhone, but the guy was selling it as for the Zune. It still works for playing through the radio, and without static. I can't tell you the brand name because it is some cheap Chinese off-brand. But, it works better than the actual Zune FM transmitter. Those things are expensive (had one) and it was not very good at all.
Yvonne, you should be very proud of yourself with this race. 75 miles on a bike? In just over 6 hours? That would take me days--literally! And, if you're not sore and tired today, you should really be celebrating that you are able to do this. I bet not many, if any, of us here could do that without a lot of heavy training first. _________________ I might have decided, or maybe not, that I should or shouldn't, depending on the issue or non-issue, to possibly share or not share, any thoughts, opinions, or facts (that might not be deemed factual by some), due to possible fear of any misinterpretation or retribution. https://christianhardmusic.niceboard.com/

| What sort of bike have you got, Yvonne? I have a mountain bike - Kona munimula, which was quite a good bike when I bought it (brand new it was worth £1000, about $1800) but I got it second hand - 2years old for half that price. That was back in 1998, so it's 12 years old now, but still going strong. The longest ride I did was a 2 day ride of 90 miles off road, but now adays it's generally about 5 miles off road per week. Still it's great to be out in the open seeing all the wildlife and being in the hills away from town. Fundy _________________ My Christian Metal Website......... Silence Is Madness

| Fundy I have a Trek race bike. A design special for women. To bad fundy you are to far to make a ride together. My trek was brand new, a gift for my birthday 3 years ago. Before I have gotten this bike I have had a Trek mountainbike. Fundy, have you ever heard of the Amstel Gold Race? | |
