| Some of my favorites: Stryper Whitecross Bride Narnia Final Axe/Titanic/Redeemer/Rev Seven (maybe I should have just said Bill Menchen) Petra Ken Tamplin Bloodgood MATW Rose Crystavox I could list a bunch more. But as much as I like classic hard rock and metal, I seem to play modern rock bands even more. _________________ I might have decided, or maybe not, that I should or shouldn't, depending on the issue or non-issue, to possibly share or not share, any thoughts, opinions, or facts (that might not be deemed factual by some), due to possible fear of any misinterpretation or retribution. https://christianhardmusic.niceboard.com/ | |

| Most all of my very faves are secular.
Here is a list of Christian bands that would make my favorites list:
1. Rob Rock 2. Narnia 3. Darkwater 4. Harmony 5. Majestic Vanguard 6. Red Sea 7. Guardian (the first 3 cd's only) 8. Mad Max 9. Essence Of Sorrow 10. Barren Cross 11. Wingdom 12. Ken Tamplin 13. Rose
Also, if Stride, Shadow Gallery or Magnitude 9 are considered Christian then they could be on the list. |

| Hi apolo I went to http://www.weathertop.ch/ and preordered it from them. If you like Tourniquet, Megadeth and European speed/melodic metal then you'll like Boarders. Fundy _________________ My Christian Metal Website......... Silence Is Madness

| Oh yeah, I've liked the sound of Megadeth since back in the 80s when I bought "killing is my business" on record ! Saw them in concert during their "peace sells" tour. I've been waiting over 20 years to hear a Christian band come close to their sound. Some are claiming that the Boarders album comes close. I want to buy it from a normal vendor, but everything on the web is foreign or "e-mail" orders. | |

Fantastic album. If I were to go with album titles my list would have been considerably longer. _________________ "I used to be indecisive.......... Now I'm not sure."

| The Bill Menchen stuff is Final Axe, Titanic, Rev Seven and Redeemer. You have to check out those band Apologetix freak. On MySpace and in the band links you can find places where you can listen to his stuff. Let me know what you think about all those Bill Menchen bands. | |

Do you still listen to Megadeth? Dave Mustaine is a believer now and his faith shows through STRONGLY on many of the new songs. |

I have been educated now. I've got all those albums, but was unaware that there was a common thread between them by the name of Menchen. Now I know, thanks ! - Quote :

I've heard as much, but am still stand-offish. Reason being is, I was steeped in a lot of music like that before I was a believer myself. When the Lord saved me in '89 I trashed all my music incl Slayer, Venom, King Diamond, Dio, and Megadeth. I am curious to hear his newer stuff and would love to be convinced that Dave has repented. He's an incredibly talented musician, but his prior lyrics were not exactly edifying. So, being out of the loop myself, what evidence is there of his new life with Christ ?

| Daves testimony is his life and words.
He has refused to even play shows with certain satanic bands (Rotting Christ was one of them).
Here are a three seperate comments he made after canceling shows with them:
"Yes, I said that I was not really interested in playing with Satanic [bands], and that is because I changed my outlook on life and my spritual beliefs over three years ago. I became a Christian..."
"Yes, I did say I would prefer not to play on concerts with Satanic bands. That doesn't mean I won't, it doesn't mean I would not talk with the bands either, (sometimes it is just for fun anyway with these bands). But to make a life-altering change and then not have some kind of affect would not have been a change at all, would it?"
"I have to draw the line and stand for my beliefs or they aren't beliefs at all, are they? I don't expect anyone to fully understand this, but I know many of you do, and I thank you for your support."
Here is what Mustaine said in a recent interview in Revolver Magazine regarding the new cd "United Abominations":
"I got saved a few years ago, and I believe the Bible says that the U.N. is going to fail. In order for the predictions in the Book of Revelations to take place, it's gotta fail."
Dave even wrote a song with the Christian band Pillar! The song "Shadow of Deth" on their last album was the 23rd Psalm set to Megadeth music. Several of their newer songs are clearly pro-Christian.
Dave has a message forum where he answers all sorts of questions and I know that he has been very upfront and vocal about his faith. He is in recovery from drugs and alcohol as well and encourages people to stay sober. |

| That is WAY awesome ! I thank God for Dave's decisions, now may the Lord protect Him from all the self-righteous Christians who would seek to hold him back by their words or actions. And may Dave be able to influence others !
PS I still have a painting I did of him back in high school. I should photo it and upload it for you guys to see. Ok, I uploaded it and it's in the photos section

| There is a VERY Christian song on 'Deth's latest called "Never Walk Alone" that is about God's love for us and He will never let us walk alone. | |

| Moderators might wanna move this last portion as a different topic... cuz it seems to be straying over to Dave Mustaine... What album(s) could someone recommend to me that would reflect Dave's faith ? | |
