| Do you think the link you have given me works here too? When you don't see me for some days you know we are lost and it didn't work.
When you start with geocaching, you have to search things they have hidden with an GPS thing?

| The link www.geocaching.com is a worldwide group. There are geocaches hidden around the world. So, it should work for you. Once you get registered, send me a friend's request.
To do this, you either need a GPS, the right app for your Blackberry or iPhone, or just be incredibly good with a map and compass. I'll be lazy and take the electronics. _________________ I might have decided, or maybe not, that I should or shouldn't, depending on the issue or non-issue, to possibly share or not share, any thoughts, opinions, or facts (that might not be deemed factual by some), due to possible fear of any misinterpretation or retribution. https://christianhardmusic.niceboard.com/

After payday, I am planning on becoming a paid subscriber at www.geocaching.com so that I can see better caches and be able to transfer multiple cache sites to my new Garmin and my old one! Combining the two, I think I'll be a caching beast! I hope you get hemorrhoids...IN YOUR FACE! ! ! ! !

| Not only have I found a few more caches, I have now hidden two. I have a few more planned.
One of my caches was rejected. We have a law against placing any kind of game in or within 528 ft. from a cemetery. So, I have to move this cache. What is so bad is that I have found two other caches, and those were inside cemeteries and have been there for years. Mine is outside, but is too close. So, I reported those two caches. I'll move mine and get it reinstated.

| Sabidoo and I got to go for a little while yesterday afternoon. We found a few caches, and met a fellow cacher out looking for the same thing we had just found! That was kinda cool! _________________ I might have decided, or maybe not, that I should or shouldn't, depending on the issue or non-issue, to possibly share or not share, any thoughts, opinions, or facts (that might not be deemed factual by some), due to possible fear of any misinterpretation or retribution. https://christianhardmusic.niceboard.com/ | |

Sabidoo, do you needed to buy a program you can use for geo caching for your Black Berry?

| I've been doing this for about 3 months now. So far, I have 6 hidden and am awaiting a 7th to be approved. I have found 176 so far in two states. I did know that this would become more of an obsession than a hobby.

| We had quite a few snow days. Also, I spent a couple of days with Sabidoo hunting together. I also went out a few times with a friend of mine. My record day so far is 29.

| I'm up to 184 finds now. I'm having to start moving out some from home to hunt because I have found all but two in my area. One of them is currently unavailable as the owner is reworking the cache. The other is considered a nano, which is incredibly small and difficult for an inexperienced geocacher. I'm going to wait awhile before trying that one again.

| I actually use two GPS devices. I used a Garmin NuVi 300 for driving directions to places that I do not know the area well. Then, I have a Garmin eTrex Venture HC that I use for the actual hunting of geocaches. It's made more for hiking and camping. It gives you a basic topographical view of an area and only give you major highways and waterways so that you can find your way back to civilization if you get lost. You can load geocaches directly to either unit, but I only load them in the eTrex. I can just type in the coordinates on the NuVi for the driving directions.
Today marks the 10th anniversary of geocaching. There are events to celebrate all over the world. There is one being held in Nashville at 2 PM. I am planning on going and searching for several of the caches in the area while I'm there. You get to meet a lot of other fellow geocachers, and you get to go find a few. What could be better, right? The cool thing about the party is that you have to FIND the location. You have coordinates and clues to get you there, but you have to find it. I am pretty sure it will be at a local Taco Bell from the clues. Finding the party will count towards my total number of finds.
I'm trying to get Sabidoo to go.

| I got to attend the event, and it was cool to meet some people who have this same strange hobby as me. Due to the rain, however, I only got to get one geocache in the area. So, I still have a ton of caches to find around Hermitage, TN.

It's not a strange hobby, it's nice. When we have the GPs we'll start too. Maybe we can find things in Canada. I only hope it's not brown or black with 4 pews and it makes a growling noice. No ... no it's not a "cookie monster".

| Sabidoo's wife wouldn't let him out of the house to play. So, I went by myself. The event was held indoors at a Mexican restaurant. Due to the heavy rains and flooding, though, I was unable to hunt any geocaches.

How is it with the rain? | |

| I did not answer your question. It rained for two days and there was much flooding in Tennessee. Much of downtown Nashville was flooded and remains closed. The Bridgestone Center, home of the Nashville Predators, is still closed. The Ryman Auditorium, the Grand Ol' Opry, and Opry Mills mall are all still closed. Opry Mills mall is located next to a river and only had a mere 9 feet of water in some parts of it.

| I had a great idea for a micro geocache today. I have a rubber, but realistic looking, tarantula. I have put a tiny micro cache container in the spider's belly and intent to put her in a hollowed out tree. I think I will name it "Watch For Spiders" or "Arachnophobia".
