| Hello,
I just updated Angelic Warlord to include a review of the new ReinXeed album, "Higher". Following is the link: http://www.angelicwarlord.com/reviews/r/reinxeed09.html
I did add some news to the sites home page- unfortunately there is not much to report in the way of news. I also updated the Release Dates page.
Following are the albums I plan to review in the near future (and the order I plan on writing them):
Venia - "Victory By Surrender"
Stryper - "Murder By Pride"
Main Line Riders - World Shaker Kreyson - 20 Years Of Kreyson (just got these two in from Retroactive)
Lou Gramm Band - Lou Gramm Band (have this on order at NEH)
The new Narnia will be a top priority once it is released.
Thanks,
Andy | |

| Thanks for the review, Andy. I like the sound of Reinxeed (but then I love Theocracy so you can understand why), and it was interesting to read your break down on all the tracks. I may have to put this on the wants list. Looking forward to your MBP review too! Fundy _________________ My Christian Metal Website......... Silence Is Madness

| We have to send Gary some Kreyson songs so he can listen to them. And agree with us Kreyson is cool. | |

| Kreyson is great, but I'm not sure how 'christian' a band they are. If you don't mind it being a bit 'lose' on that angle, then it's a pretty awesome album.
Pure european power/heavy metal with great vocals.

| I've heard ReinXeed, and I must say it's awesome stuff. I don't have either album yet, but I hope to rectify that once I have some funds again. | |

I gotta confess to having never even really heard any of their music (just some snippets here and there). - rockerVu2 wrote:

| As far as I'm aware it's not really a christian band, and none of the albums are christian. Some deal with christian things (like the crusades) but it's not like Theocracy, Stryper, Bride or the like.
I can't remember if it was commented on on CMR or Firestream. I think it was Firestream. Still if you don't mind it just being a vague reference to Christian things, then it's a great band.
I've got Crusaders and Angel On The Run, and think both albums are very solid.

| Does it say in the thanks columns anything about their faith, Andy? Of the 2 albums I've got I think I'm missing the lyrics to Crusaders, so can't really comment on the spiritual side of it too much, but somewhere (like I say I think it was Firestream) it says that they weren't a 'christian' band, more like christians in a band.. I'd love them to continue recording english albums. Andy, how are you finding MBP while you listen to it more and more? Is it growing on you? Personally I'm very happy with it, and whilst it's not totally like their 80's stuff, it is a natural progression from that kind of sound. Cheers Fundy _________________ My Christian Metal Website......... Silence Is Madness

Personally I'm very happy with it, and whilst it's not totally like their 80's stuff, it is a natural progression from that kind of sound. In the liner notes Kreyson openly thanks Jesus. The new Kreyson CD includes 10 songs, 8 of which - as far as I can tell - are re-recorded versions of songs appearing on "Kreyson" and "Crusaders". In many cases not only have the song titles changed but so have the lyrics- to a bolder and more forthright direction. So the songs have pretty much been re-worked from the ground up. I am really getting into MBP. The albums better material is top notch- Michael Sweet has not lost his prime songwriting skills. Still cannot decide on my favorite song on the album. It breaks down between "4 Leaf Clover", "Murder By Pride", "Mercy Over Blame" and "Love Is". I plan to begin work on the review later this evening. | |

I'm glad he's/they've done that. - Quote :

Now that does sound interesting! This may be yet another album to go on my wants list. - Quote :

It does seem to get better and better on repeated listens. Thanks again, Andy Fundy _________________ My Christian Metal Website......... Silence Is Madness

I completely agree! I serously was not expecting much from the album and it is just blowing me away. Hey lets see how many other bands besides ReinXeed we can talk about in this thread. _________________ "I used to be indecisive.......... Now I'm not sure."

When is the new Saint coming out?
