Just weeks after Decyfer Down released its sophomore CD Crash—with themes extending from their survival of a devastating car crash—additional roadblocks have appeared in the personal lives of the band members. Guitarist Chris Clonts' wife, Meghan, became extremely ill following the birth of the couples' son, Christopher Hayden. After three weeks in quarantine for a severe infection, Meghan has now been released and able to resume normal family life.
But just a day after her homecoming, Victoria Oliver, wife of drummer Josh Oliver, was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin's lymphoma cancer. The cancer was caught early enough that it has not spread throughout her body, but a football-sized tumor is lodged between her lungs and heart making an operation impossible. She's currently undergoing chemotherapy for the next 18 weeks. In addition, the couple has been denied health insurance coverage.
"I am graciously thankful and humbled by the outpouring of love and support for my family and for the Decyfer Down family," offered Josh in a statement. "Please continue to keep us in prayer and we will keep you updated via the band's MySpace and website." Additional information and options for donating to the Oliver family can be found here. _________________ I might have decided, or maybe not, that I should or shouldn't, depending on the issue or non-issue, to possibly share or not share, any thoughts, opinions, or facts (that might not be deemed factual by some), due to possible fear of any misinterpretation or retribution. https://christianhardmusic.niceboard.com/ | |

| Wow that's awful news. I hope and pray that Victoria can get through this and that the chemotherapy will do it's work well, and that God will cure her of all the disease. Fundy _________________ My Christian Metal Website......... Silence Is Madness

| As someone who was just recently diagnosed with a B-cell lymphoma I think I may know what Victoria is going thru. All I can say is that God listens to every prayer and when God's people come together to pray for thier sister or brother, things will happen. I know it's not metal but I gotta tell ya, everytime I hear Casting Crowns "Praise you in This Storm" it takes on a whole new meaning. I pray for Victoria and Josh that she will recover and that she remembers that God is in control. | |

| What a bad news about the Decyfer Down wifes. We don't have to hope and see what the doctors can. We have a mighty Father in heaven who's able to heal all our sickness. Yes, He's able to heal the non-Hodgkin. | |
