Power Pop that is Beyond Belief

Came across this band. Not really my style but I see they covered the great Petra tune, Beyond Belief and even got John Schlitt to sing on the track. Here it for yourself to what you think. Me, it's to pop/punk for me so I will pass.

I like the music of several artists like this. But, I hate those teenage sounding sissy boy voices that seem so prevalent in the modern pop-punk scene. I sould easily enjoy this if the vocals were more manly.

Maybe it'll sound a bit better once they finish high school.

Then their voices will change and they will have to do something different.

I really wish that scene would just die! I love hardcore/punk, and pop/punk is just a major insult to our scene.

I'd like to hear it explored instead of just releasing cookie cutter clones of everyone else. With some different vocalists, and maybe some guitar solos, I wouldn't mind it. Then, the current punk scene would sound a lot more like the first Poison and Motley Crue discs that were both heavily punk influenced.
