| Special for the CHM fans who like extreme Christian metal. You have to check out Nokternal Hemizphear. I think you might like this band.
Got a message of this band on Myspace, but this is not my cup of tea. Hope other CHM members like this band. The music is okay, but it are the vocals I don't like.

| Thought MetalFRO and 7thSecond might be interested in this band.
Yep it seems it's a band too. One with heavy cookie monster noises.

| I'm like Staybrite--I thought they were a CD distributor.

| Can you give us the MySpace address instead of a direct link? For some stupid reason, every time I click on a MySpace link from this forum, my computer freezes after I close the MySpace window. Don't know why this happens... my cpu handles this forum, and my cpu handles MySpace, but for some reason is doesn't like me going to MySpace FROM this forum! Dumb...

| Try this link, Thomas:

I checked the MySpace page myself. NH is a label and a CD distributor. The songs on their player are from Winter's Dawn. But, it is extreme metal that you will hear!
They carry more than just extreme metal at NH. I have ordered from them once. I don't remember what it was, though. _________________ I might have decided, or maybe not, that I should or shouldn't, depending on the issue or non-issue, to possibly share or not share, any thoughts, opinions, or facts (that might not be deemed factual by some), due to possible fear of any misinterpretation or retribution. https://christianhardmusic.niceboard.com/

| OK, I got a MySpace friend request from them... and to be honest, I'm not sure what to do with it...
So, Winter's Dawn is the band that's playing on the page? If they are a label and a distributor, why are they just playing one band?
I'm very confused about this...
As for what I hear... if that's what they distribute, I want nothing to do with it. The production is terrible, and the music (especially the vocals) made me want to burn my computer. I'm not trying to be mean, but it really does sound awful.

Most music in that style make me want to burn their instruments! I'm keeping my computer.

| Thomas I have gotten a MySpace friends request too. After listening to this extreme noisy cookie monster music I have made my decision.
My ears and my computer can't handle this heavy noisy cookie monsterish vocals. I wonder how those bands sound without the cookie monster vocals. I'm sure they sound a lot better.

| Yeah, I guess you're right, Chris... no point wasting a perfectly good computer just because of someone else's noise. But when it comes down to that, I don't know if I could burn the instruments, either - it's not the guitar's fault! _ | |

Yeah, I think they just sent out a general request to everyone... why else would someone with music like that request Unforsaken otherwise?
Quote: "I wonder how those bands sound without the cookie monster vocals. I'm sure they sound a lot better."
Well to be quite honest, the production I was hearing there was very bad. I don't think that I could ever bring myself to buy anything that sounded this bad, even if it had Rob Rock singing!
See, here's what I don't understand about so much of today's music: Why are people so willing to accept such poor quality, when the capability of getting MUCH better quality is so readily available??? I mean, look at Martin Pleau's Endless Funeral project... style-wise, it fits in the same category as this stuff, but look at the production difference! I must admit that I do not enjoy this type of vocals, but I can listen to his CD, and even enjoy it, simply because the production quality is so much better than what seems to be the norm for that genre. I can take pride in having my name on that CD (for mastering and duplication) and be happy to sell it for him, because whether I like the style of vocals or not, I know that it is good product. I can even understand most of the words without having to resort to the lyrics sheet!
So what's wrong with these bands and the fans of this type of music, that they are willing to accept trash for production? I just don't get it. I am speaking both as a producer/engineer AND a music lover.

| Nokternal Hemizphear is indeed a label & a distro, and a quality one, at that! Jason is a fantastic guy, and always a pleasure to deal with. He carries everything from melodic & power metal to the more extreme stuff, and he specializes in the extreme stuff, of course. I try to order from him when I can, because he's a huge supporter of the Christian metal scene.
Thomas, in terms of your comment, I understand where you're coming from. You'll find that many of the bands NH sells do indeed have good production. Winter's Dawn is an NH label release, and is a traditional black metal album. BM is often raw, and underproduced on purpose, because afficionados of the style like it that way. I prefer stuff w/ slightly better production, but that's a good album for its style. And it sounds better on CD or HQ MP3 than the crappy 96K Myspace rips, so keep that in mind.
