| OK, I have a couple more updates for you:
1. New Unforsaken album in the works! 2. Endless Funeral samples available on the UP website
1. Some big and long-awaited news from Unforsaken - we're working on a new album! Here's a press release that was posted on Angelic Warlord earlier this week:
New Unforsaken album in the works! March 30, 2009
Unforsaken Productions announces that work has begun on a new album from Canadian Christian rock band Unforsaken. Four years after the release of their debut album "Not Alone" (2005), Thomas Wilson (vocalist) and Jon Hooper (guitarist) are back in the studio.
The new album will essentially be an EP, but longer in length tban most EPs, consisting of seven tracks. The album's running time will be over 30 minutes, so this should please even those who don't typically purchase EPs because of their normally short length.
The album will contain three brand new Unforsaken songs, as well as some tunes from the band's acoustic set, including a well known cover song. It is expected to be ready for sale in late Spring of 2009.
More information will be provided when available. For more information on Unforsaken, visit their website at www.unforsaken.ca
2. A page about Endless Funeral has been added to the UP website. It's pretty basic at the moment, but it does feature samples from the Unforsaken Productions CD release of "A Second Beginning".
Here's a link to the Endless Funeral page: http://www.unforsaken.ca/EF/main.html

| Why only 7 songs? I'd rather you guys wait about releasing when you have 10 full tracks. With you and Jon both having your own studios, the cost isn't the issue. Take your time and write 3 more and make it a full length release, dudes! _________________ I might have decided, or maybe not, that I should or shouldn't, depending on the issue or non-issue, to possibly share or not share, any thoughts, opinions, or facts (that might not be deemed factual by some), due to possible fear of any misinterpretation or retribution. https://christianhardmusic.niceboard.com/ | |

| Hey dudes, take the time to do three songs more so Endless Funeral can release a full length CD. In this I agree with Chris. Do it !!!
That's good news about the new Unforsaken is in progress. Good luck Thomas and John when you work, write and work on a new Unforsaken. Don't forget to keep us informed about the progress of the new Unforsaken Thomas.

| I know the trend has been towards longer albums with more songs, but to me, seven songs and 30 minutes is a full length record. It might be a bit short, but that's out of an ep range, IMO. |

I agree. In the 70's and 80's there were a lot of 8 and 9 songs albums that seldom clocked in at over 35 minutes. Besides with my short atttention span I have a hard time sitting through 70 minutes of music from the same band. That's a sure-fire guarantee that I will be skipping at least a few tracks on the album. _________________ "I used to be indecisive.......... Now I'm not sure."

| 70 minutes almost guarantees that there will be songs you'll want to skip. I'd rather have a short good album than a long mediocre one. |

| Well, Staybrite, I guess we'll be keeping your attention with this album! As for the EP vs full-length debate: Well, it has been so long since we released an album (4 years now)... I figure this is a good way to sort of "ease back into it". And besides, I agree with Tally in regards to the concept of a full-length album - the length of this CD WILL be over half an hour, and that's the length of some bands' full length albums, especially through the 60s, 70s, and even the 80s. We can't ALWAYS do albums that approach or exceed an hour in length! I think of this CD as more of the classic concept of an LP (long play) as opposed to an EP (extended play), which is traditionally a single with a couple more bonus tracks, usually 4 songs, totalling around 15 minutes or so. LP - more songs, running around 30-35 minutes. "Full length" - 40 min and up. So we won't be far off from classifying as a full-length anyway... | |
