| I feel very frustrated. It seems I can't post a pic here. I never know what button I have to use to post a pic instead of a link. | |

| You use the button that looks like a chain for links. For pictures already online, you use the button that looks like a picture. If you have to upload a picture from your machine, use the button that looks like a picture with a small piece of paper or a file in front of it. _________________ I might have decided, or maybe not, that I should or shouldn't, depending on the issue or non-issue, to possibly share or not share, any thoughts, opinions, or facts (that might not be deemed factual by some), due to possible fear of any misinterpretation or retribution. https://christianhardmusic.niceboard.com/ | |

| That's the one I used to post a pic. But how it comes sometimes you see the pic and sometimes you see only the link? | |

Sometimes images online are set up to block third party users. Some web sites like Yahoo add extra characters to the URL of their images to prevent people linking to them and stealing their bandwidth. But, you can copy the URL up to the point that ends with .jpg. Any characters after that are extra and do not need to be copied. Half the photos I used in the "Count To 100" thread are copied from Yahoo! _________________ I might have decided, or maybe not, that I should or shouldn't, depending on the issue or non-issue, to possibly share or not share, any thoughts, opinions, or facts (that might not be deemed factual by some), due to possible fear of any misinterpretation or retribution. https://christianhardmusic.niceboard.com/

| The pics I use are in my Photobucket account. Do you need to use the the picuter with the small paper in it?
That's why I never posted images in the "Count" threat.

| You'd use the one without the paper if they are already on the internet.
If it is on YOUR PC, then you use the one with the paper. _________________ "If you are not concerned about your neighbor's salvation, you should be concerned about your own."

| I see what the paper one really does now. It allows you to browse a file on your PC and uploads it to a free hosting site when you hit the Host It button. Then you need to use the Copy button on the bottom and then you need to use the normal Image button with no paper and paste in the URL you just copied.
I would have been surprised if niceboard actually hosted images, too, outside the smilies and other forum images. _________________ "If you are not concerned about your neighbor's salvation, you should be concerned about your own."
