| Henry Blackaby's "Experiencing God" study has been tearing me up. NOT recommended unless you want conviction brought upon you with a 2x4. _________________ "If you are not concerned about your neighbor's salvation, you should be concerned about your own."

| I wasn't sure that I wanted to read it and waited until it came up for free on Paperbackswap.com. I'm going to read it, and so is my wife. Then, we'll probably swap it again. _________________ I might have decided, or maybe not, that I should or shouldn't, depending on the issue or non-issue, to possibly share or not share, any thoughts, opinions, or facts (that might not be deemed factual by some), due to possible fear of any misinterpretation or retribution. https://christianhardmusic.niceboard.com/ | |

This sounds like an interesting book. Chris, Would you please give us a brief synopsis regarding the authors view point. What is his stance regarding Christians who do not attend church, etc? Thanks, Andy

regarding the authors view point. What is his stance regarding Christians who do not attend church, etc? First of all, this is a work of fiction with a lot of food for thought. The story is about a man who meets someone who seems to be John the Beloved still alive after all these years. John is on a mission in this book to help straighten out Christians who will hear and get them to rethink how we "do church" and just "be the church". To do this means being a church without walls: a lot more social outreach, assistance for the poor, more home meetings, non-paid clergy, no set meeting days, etc. Interesting read, though. _________________ I might have decided, or maybe not, that I should or shouldn't, depending on the issue or non-issue, to possibly share or not share, any thoughts, opinions, or facts (that might not be deemed factual by some), due to possible fear of any misinterpretation or retribution. https://christianhardmusic.niceboard.com/
