| So I have not heard much chatter about this classic Christian rock band from Australia, but there is a short "Where are they Now" type article in the most recent Heavens Metal fanzine about them. It seems that their back catalog (2 albums?) is going to be rereleased on Watergrave records. I have had their "Calling Down Fire" album for several months now. At first I was not very impressed by their sound at all. Having only first listened to the band this year, I must say they sound rather dated. But after repeated listens, some of the tracks are starting to grow on me. I think I would have hesitated to call this group a metal band (even back in the day), but they are certainly not an "easy listening" group either. While some of their music sounds a little like some of the hard rock music put out by Barnabas (only not quite as good IMO), a few of their songs are so laid back that they remind me of the 80's secular pop rock outfit Quaterflash (not a bad thing, but certainly something of a contrast). -- _________________ "I used to be indecisive.......... | You guys here are so good in to put bands in music styles. I think I am the "rock dummie" here. So many bands you know about and I have never heard of them. | |

| I'll have to say that their second album "Clothed In Fire" is slightly better (although still similar) than Calling Down Fire. Really like the last two songs "The Loser" and ""Love The Lord Your God". Hopefully they will re-release them as they are good albums.
Interestingly enough I have Rosannas solo album (basically it's Rosannas Raiders third!) which is abit less rocky, but good nontheless.

| I would love to get these on CD. I had the cassettes years ago, but no longer. Rosanna's Raiders was one of those bands that you either loved or hated. They might not have been the best the Christian market had to offer, but they had a heart to preach the gospel that is missing in a lot of today's music. | I think that was what I loved about them, alldat. The message they sang was open christianity. Fundy _________________ My Christian Metal Website......... Silence Is Madness

| Just like Stryper, Bloodgood, Whitecross, Barren Cross, Guardian, Saint, etc. That's why we love those albums still today. That's why a lot of modern bands, even to the fans that listen to them, are rather forgetable. _________________ I might have decided, or maybe not, that I should or shouldn't, depending on the issue or non-issue, to possibly share or not share, any thoughts, opinions, or facts (that might not be deemed factual by some), due to possible fear of any misinterpretation or retribution. https://christianhardmusic.niceboard.com/ | |

| I liked them.
Not enough to buy a re-release, but for what they were, they were decent. |

| I must say they have very bold lyrics, and I do really like a few of the songs on the Calling Down Fire album (actually I have it on cassette). But they just wouldn't be a frequent player in my playlist. -- _________________ "I used to be indecisive.......... Now I'm not sure."
