New band that some of you may enjoy. Female Fronted rock. Has some Skillet involvement. It's 8 songs so probably considered ep. Get it at cdbaby if intrested.

Submerged sounds not bad.
I'm not really a fan of female fronted bands.
Submerged has a good sound, there's a good balance between the voice of the vocaliste and the music.
It reminds me a bit to Barlow Girl.

Reminds me a lot of Fireflight. Not bad.

8 songs is still an EP to me, but it's getting right on that edge of a full length. Remember the band Dio? He used to do 9 songs on every album, and those were considered full lengths.

It seems it's very populair for bands to make EP's
Then this band released an EP, then that bands released an other EP
Hey bands, what's wrong with releasing full length CDS?

Remember Dio? Heck he's still going strong Chris. Of course he hasn't released a 9 song album since Dream Evil in 87. I agree 8 songs is almost long enough to qaulify as a full length to some people. I know I'd buy one.

Hey not bad, this might be something my wife and daughter would like as well. There are only a handful of albums all three of us are happy listening to together in the car.

And yes a lot of the bands used to release 8 or 9 song albums, but they also had guitar solos and the songs were usually longer. This meant an 8-9 song album was at least 35 minutes long (sometimes over 45 minutes). But with todays modern rock bands (ie no solos) the songs tend to be shorter so the same 8-9 song album might only be 25 minutes or so (maybe less). I think that might be part of the reason people think of 7 or 8 song albums as EPs.

Also cds will hold up to 80 minutes of music, and the old LP records would only do about 60 minutes (if I remember correctly). So even a 40 minute long album is only using half of the capacity on the disc.

I haven't listened to Dio since 1990. Saint, in their early days, also did 9 song albums.

One of the greatest Christian rock albums was only 8 or 9 songs long. The debut album from Idle Cure. Amongst the best ever

Dio is a metal icon. Ronnie James Dio started off singing with bands like Rainbow and Black Sabbath. He started doing a solo act in the 80's and has a lot of fans worldwide. You won't be finding his music at your local Christian bookstore.

His career actually started a decade (or two) even before Rainbow.
I think he is about 150 years old now.
lol!

I would love to see the very amazed faces of the ladies in my local bookstore when I ask for a Rainbow album.
No I don't think they have bands like Rainbow and Black Sabbath in stock.
Before I discovered the Christian rock music I really liked Rainbow and Black Sabbath.
That's over now.

So Dio is a real old rocker now.
Or he might rock & roll with the other old folks now. Very Happy

The CD is 24 minutes if you don't include the alternate version (track 8 ) so it pretty much is an EP.
