| It's interesting how you can change over time. One of the things I've noticed over the last couple of years is how I strongly dislike any movie that has people dying in it. Sometimes war movies are okay, but the moment I see something of the enemy, just before they die I immediately feel sorry for them. And the truer to life it is, the more I hate it. I watched I Am Legend, and found that killing zombies didn't really affect me, as they're not 'real', but whenever someone dies who's human I really have trouble enjoying that film. Violence aswell, I'm less keen on violence than I ever was. Take the new James Bond (Casino Royale). I thought the movie was good, but I hated the bit at the start when he killed that guy in the toilets, and I hated the bit at the end when he was beaten up. Maybe I'm becoming soft, I don't know. My favourite films are 30's comedies and sci fi films. I've thrown away quite a number of 'violent' films. Anyone else done anything similar? | I feel the same way. When I was a teenager without God, I used to be a slasher film worshiper and wanted to be involved in the industry. I had all the gory posters and was fascinated with blood & guts. As a believer, I now can't stand seeing any of that, and also hate seeing someone die (even if for cinema). I watch a lot of forensic files and other reality based crime shows, however - when they're describing the actual brutalities, I don't want to listen. As for the 30s, I have a big collection of Three Stooges... that tell ya anything ? | |

| With regards to movies I seem to have very little tolerance for movies with sex and profainty. I think both are completely unnecessary in any film. Never used to bother me when I was younger. I also cry during sad movies. I never used to do that. I think I am turning into a woman. _________________ "I used to be indecisive.......... Now I'm not sure."

| @ staybrite Apolo, I have one Stooges video, but they're not too easy to get over here. My favourites are The Marx Bros. and Will Hay (mostly when he's with 2 certain guys in 5 or 6 of his films) Fundy _________________ My Christian Metal Website......... Silence Is Madness

| I don't watch movies with a lot of blood and guts. They trouble my spirit. I would much rather watch a decent thriller.
If a movie is shot very well, and I connect with the characters, then I will cry a few tears. My wife will cry a whole lot more, and a lot faster. I even remember the first movie I ever cried in. I was at the theater watching Star Trek: Generations. When they crashed the Enterprise D, I cried. I felt like one of the family had gone down. Of course, with Star Trek, the ship is as much a member of the cast as are the characters. Ok, I'm a Star Trek geek......I admit it. I also cried when Data gets killed at the end of Star Trek: Nemesis. _________________ I might have decided, or maybe not, that I should or shouldn't, depending on the issue or non-issue, to possibly share or not share, any thoughts, opinions, or facts (that might not be deemed factual by some), due to possible fear of any misinterpretation or retribution. https://christianhardmusic.niceboard.com/

If that line in that movie doesn't bring a tear to a glass eye, then NOTHING will.

| There comes water out of my eyes, hey that's not crying when I watch "thouching movies." I never watch movies from wars or with a lot of violence or a lot of blood or with scary things in it. So I never watch movies over the WW II or the war in Vietnam, it takes days before I am over all I have seen. No that's why I never watched "Scary Movie. I can remember a movie when I was a kid with a black Citroen in it. A Citroen is a French car and I was very scared for that car. | |
