| What do you make of the current gas shortage? It is freaky driving through areas with multiple gas stations and only having one or two that even have any product to sell. Add to that the fear that the media is adding to this, and you have people buying and stockpiling gas. _________________ I might have decided, or maybe not, that I should or shouldn't, depending on the issue or non-issue, to possibly share or not share, any thoughts, opinions, or facts (that might not be deemed factual by some), due to possible fear of any misinterpretation or retribution. https://christianhardmusic.niceboard.com/ | |

| I got this story from WTVF News Channel 5 right here in Nashville, TN: - Quote :
-
NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Those drivers, who weren't lucky enough to find gas over the weekend, will have to do some searching Monday in order to fill up. With gas pumps covered by plastic bags and seemingly no end in sight, the gas shortage continued to cause frustrations Monday morning. Even worse, it looks like the situation might not be getting better for a little while, at least. According to AAA, middle Tennessee's gas shortage will continue for the next few days. It's estimated more than half of Nashville gas stations were out of gas Monday morning. Those who have been able to find gas probably paid record high prices. Monday morning, a gallon of regular unleaded in the midstate cost about $4.08. There are some things you can do to stretch that tank of gas. Make sure your tires are all properly inflated. Be sure to check your air filter, and make sure it's clean. Of course, slow down to increase your MPG's. Also, clean out that junk in your trunk. Extra weight can zap gas mileage. Finding gas right now is difficult, so NewsChannel 5 is asking its viewers to help each other out. If you know of a gas station that has gas post the name, location and city of that station in the TalkBack.

| As I attempted to post earlier, I think the gas shortage is a good thing. It will force people to stay home with their families LIKE THEY'RE SUPPOSED TO!

| So you'd be willing to do nothing more than work and go home with no other choices? | We haven't had too much of a shortage clear up here in the Pacific NW, but as I posted earlier (before it disappeared). I guess I will just have to start riding my daughters bicycle 20 miles each direction to work. _________________ "I used to be indecisive.......... Now I'm not sure."

There is no way I could ride a bike to work. I drive right at 40 miles each way. I don't think I am anywhere near being physically fit enough to ride 80 miles and work 12 hours. Of course, I don't think that there would be any time left for sleeping and resting either even if I were that buff. _________________ I might have decided, or maybe not, that I should or shouldn't, depending on the issue or non-issue, to possibly share or not share, any thoughts, opinions, or facts (that might not be deemed factual by some), due to possible fear of any misinterpretation or retribution. https://christianhardmusic.niceboard.com/

Put it this way..... IF a person's automobile is in their driveway, there is PLENTY of gas and it costs NOTHING! Excess driving is the debil. SO, will you be coming to my house Friday afternoon for the official "weigh in"?

| Got any gas? That could be construed as "excessive driving".

| Our shortages are supposed to last until Friday. More stations are carrying gas, but the price has jumped to around $4.25 a gallon while the rest of the country is having lower prices. Some local authorities are asking people to stay home from work if they can in order to keep the gas flowing for people who need it. This whole situation just causes me to do this: _________________ I might have decided, or maybe not, that I should or shouldn't, depending on the issue or non-issue, to possibly share or not share, any thoughts, opinions, or facts (that might not be deemed factual by some), due to possible fear of any misinterpretation or retribution. https://christianhardmusic.niceboard.com/ | |

| I saw this on the news the other day and couldn't believe it. We don't have that prob down here. Every gas station is open. The only time we start stockpiling gas is when a hurricane is coming. | |
