Hey gang. Just wanted to let you all know that the Jackstrawed EP 'As the Crow Flies' will drop on 5/12/23 on all streaming platforms. CDs are available for shipping right now through our website www.jackstrawed.com if you are interested in one. But I just wanted to be clear that the CD will contain the same 6 songs as the digital format. I was originally going to include another song and a cover, but they just didn't seem to fit into the project. I felt they took away from it a little. I wrote and recorded these 6 songs over the course of two weekends and was able to capture a distinct sound and idea. Later on when trying to go back and add to it I just couldn't capture the same vibe. In fact, if we do another Jackstrawed record I might try to do it the same way (sit down for a few days and blow out all of the music around a single theme...then spend 2 months tweaking it...lol!). I'm actually really liking the EP thing because to me this EP is like one 20 minute song. It's a mini concept.
Anyway, I just wanted to be up front about the CD so people know what they would be getting if they chose to get one...

I don't know when I will get it listened to, but I am downloading it right now. I have gotten quite a bit of new stuff lately and don't feel like I have time to absorb any of it.
