Do you celebrate a Thanksgiving in your country? I'm guessing you probably do, but certainly not on the same day as us here in the United States. I know the U.S. (American) pilgrims first came to the Netherlands to escape religious persecution in England before heading to "The Americas". I'm not sure if people know that the religious freedom we have in the U.S. is thanks (at least in part) to the good Dutch people who hosted the pilgrims for several years before their journey to the U.S.
