Well I picked up "Wire" when it first came out. I didn't like it much and ended up trading it. So I was a little gunshy with "Wherever You Are". I actually borrowed it and the first "Chronicals" disc from the library to check out a few months ago. I really liked "Wherever You Are", but didn't care much for Chronicals. So I put "Wherever You Are" on my want's list at lala, and finally got a copy. Glad I did, it is a very solid album.

Don't know why but that struck me as funny.

I think that Jennifer Knapp sounds, stylistically anyway, like a mix of Melissa Etheridge, Bonnie Raitt, Paula Cole, and Sheryl Crow. While she doesn't sound like a clone of any of these secular artists, Jennifer definitely fits in the same genre with these ladies.

Well, I am biased. I don't think she reminds me of any of them or any other females in ccm. I hear similarities all the time with most of the music I listen to, but not her - even her song structure and lyrics are so different.

I feel the same way about Bonnie Raitt, no one comes close to her IMO .
