Favorite Saint Song - In The Battle

In The Battle 2004/2010

After a four year hiatus the band returns with Rich on bass, new comer Jerry Johnson on guitar, Larry London in the ever changing position of drummer and Josh returning to his spot on lead vocals.  This album goes a long way to redeem the miss-step of “The Perfect Life” and shows that the boys do indeed remember how to bang their heads.  This was the first Saint album I ever purchased having only discovered them in 2004/2005, so it holds a special place in my heart.

There are some excellent tracks on this disc with “In the Battle”, “Here We Are”, “Ryders”, “When” and “Holy Rollin” being among my favorites (yes I’m aware that is half of the album….what’s your point?)

If forced to pick one song I would have to go with “Ryders”.

The album was released under the bands own label “Armor Records” in 2004 and was remastered with new artwork in 2010 by Retroactive Records.

How about you, how does Saint’s “comeback” album rank in your Saint collection?

Self-titled track.  And this album is my least favorite Saint album.

I voted Ryders before reading so I wouldn't be swayed by your mind power, Staybrite.   It's a good album, probably about number five in their catalog.

I love it. Title track for me, when I heard it I knew they were back. I also prefer the original cover. Just can't get over the cheesiness of it, it's so bad it's good. Really not a bad song on it, I haven't played it in a while, need to dig it out.

If you like their classic albums "Too Late For Living" & "Times End" or even some of their newer Josh fronted albums like "Hell Blade" and "The Mark" you owe it to yourself to pick this one up.

It is an excellent album that made me a Saint fan.

My favorite is "Sacrifice".  I just love that song!

I had to go with "Ryders", although "Sacrifice" comes in at a close second.

It is also on Spotify, you can listen to the whole thing there before buying it. I played it on Spotify yesterday after reading this thread since I didn't have the CD handy.

I'll install Spotify again and check it out!

Great return for them.  I liked the last track, but In The Battle was a great song too.

Yeah, love that double tune. Full Armor reminds me of Freewheel Burnin' by Priest.

I remember him saying that in an interview (or possibly one of the forums, etc.)

I like this album, but it's not near the top of my Saint favorites list.

I voted for the title track, but I also really like Sacrifice and Ryders.
