For fans of Ken Tamplin and hymns

Spotify has an album than Ken apparently recorded in 2012 of hymns. He does them in a very traditional style. This is NOT AT ALL a rock or metal album. But I absolutely love his voice, and I love many of these hymns, so this is a real find for me. I thought I'd share it for anyone else that might be interested.

Ken has a fantastic voice, but I for some reason I just can't get into traditional hymns (love the rocked out versions though).

I like hymns.....in church.  If I am going to listen to them, I want them reimagined and made into the artist's own style like PK Mitchell or Bart Millard has done.  Take those songs and own them.  Don't just redo them as they have been for hundreds of years unless that's truly your style.  That just makes a rocker seem washed up.

Good singing, but would have preferred them to rock!

I like his rock stuff too, but I think he has one of the best voices I've ever heard. I really like his voice on this project. For me, not everything has to be rock or metal.

I don't think any of us have just rock or metal in our collections.  I also think that many of us know what we want to hear certain singers do or not do.  I would not want a bunch of CCM pop songs, southern gospel songs, polka, or a lot of styles by my favorite singers because they have a voice perfectly suited for rock.  That's what I want to hear them do.
