Been raining for the last 3 days and foggy, which is out of character for our Southern California area. Yesterday a drunk driver pulled out of a liquor store and hit my Mom. She's ok, but it wrecked her brand new car she drove off the lot only a year ago.
Apparently this was the dude's 2nd offence as he appeared before the judge for DUI only 30 days ago.  He was arrested and taken away from the accident scene. My sweet mother felt bad for him - I said "to heck with him !!! he HIT you and totaled your new car !!!!"

I'm glad she's ok though.

I hope she has gap insurance, and is ok.

She has total collision coverage, but apparently (and surprisingly) Mr DUI has full coverage too under Geiko... an adjuster is scheduled for Friday.  

I feel SO bad for my Mom though, she loved her new car. First brand new car she's ever bought (and she's in her 70s).

I use NeilMeds mix that came with a plastic pot that looks like a Netti. It works real good. I use it about once a week and haven't had a sinus infection in years.

Mr DUI won't have insurance for long.  Good to hear she has coverage, but bummer about her car.  My brother-in-law was just in an accident a few days ago and his car was totaled as well.

Oh man, not good. This is the season of people rushing around with stuff on their minds, bad weather conditions, and too much stress... perfect recipe for accidents.

I have my wife's company Christmas party tonight.  This ought to be interesting as I know absolutely nobody she works with.  Fortunately it is a family event so I can always talk to my grandson if things get too boring.
