| I don't get it either, but I know that you can order anything you want at any restaurant you go to. Getting what you actually ordered is a different matter, however. | |

| That one slips my memory as well, was it some pop or R&B band possibly? _________________ "I used to be indecisive.......... Now I'm not sure."

| We don't get it, cuz we were always ROCKERS ! This song was popular with the rap crowd: RunDMC - You Be Illin'
One day when I was chillin' in Kentucky Fried Chicken Just mindin' my business, eatin' food and finger lickin' This dude walked in lookin' strange and kind of funny Went up to the front with a menu and his money He didn't walk straight, kind of side to side He asked this old lady, "Yo, yo, um is this Kentucky Fried?" The lady said, "Yes man", smiled and he smiled back He gave a quarter and his order, small fries, Big Mac! You be illin', illin'.....

| Wow, can't believe y'all don't know much Run-DMC. If it wasn't for 80's songs, I would not have known that the president looks alarmed and the general has been disarmed. | |

| If it wasn't for 80's songs -- AND Steven Tyler's showing them how to really Walk This Way -- I wouldn't have any idea who Run DMC was. | |

You mean you wouldn't have known it's tricky to rock a rhyme, to rock a rhyme that's right on time? Then let me tell ya: it's tricky.

| (I was JUST getting into rap at the end of '88 and beginning of '89 -had a friend who was ALL into rap - everything from RunDMC to NWA... then in April of '89 I came to faith... my first inclination was to trash all my rap as well as a bunch of other stuff that didn't belong in my new life. A couple years later I got into early Christian rappers - Fast forward to recent years and in my nostalgia, I've been collecting some of the old secular rap songs I use to like ... unfortunately there's not that many since I'm collecting only songs that are clean or "neutral") | |

LOL - I was thinking of those songs that were less than happy from the 80s, like those 80s songs that taught us how life seems to fade away, drifting further every day... As well as the ones from Raw Power, Black Flag, Misfits, Circle Jerks, etc, that cannot be quoted here... As one who was in the punk scene of the 80s, I can attest that many songs were not exactly "songs of hope"
