...your lead singer dies. After the funeral, you have to plug in a new vocalist for your classic metal band that you started.
You have ANY vocalist available as everyone wants to be in your band due to all the #1 hits you've had in the last year.
WHO WOULD YOU WANT TO FILL LEAD VOX for your band, a band with songs that you write the lyrics for. You can choose any living vocalist there is, from any country.

Great choice.
Robin Bausari or D.C. Cooper.

Jeff Scott Soto (or Robin K Bausari would be really cool as well)

James LaBrie (Dream Theater) or Sebastian Bach (Skid Row). If I could get the vocals without the attitude.

So long as I get back-stage meet-the-band passes, I'll be ok!

Yes but Kerrick would much rather have Blaze Bayley

Hmm, this is a tough one. Rob Halford or Lemmy.

LOL ! Such a distinctive voice - very unique... he kind of bridged a gap between punk and metal.
Wanna get a REALLY unique voice for your imaginary band ? Try Randy Jackson (say what you will, I love this dude's vox)

Agreed, love his vocals. But I also really dig Udo Dirkschneider's voice and many don't.

Wow! Someone's wearing his tighty whiteys really tighty. I love Lemmy and Motorhead. I do wonder how much credit they deserve for influencing thrash. I just feel like to add him to the band would be more limiting than Halford. My first thought was Robert Plant, but he and my bass player don't get along very well.

Udo, ugh. Has the range of a sick cow and this opinion is from a guy who likes thrash vocals.

Well I don't like most thrash vocalists at all, so maybe that's the difference. I will agree that Udo has an incredibly limited range but to me his voice just has a lot of personality.

Uh, no (but I did like Zebra). Abigail-era King Diamond.
So no Ronnie James Dio fans?

Dio's dead.
For my choices, I'd pick Robin Kyle Basauri, Dale Thompson, or Roger or Randy Rose, or possibly Ken Tamplin.

I'd choose Josh Kramer

Josh Kramer would be cool as well, but quite honestly I don't think I would pick Michael Sweet. He is a fantastic singer though, just not quite right for my band.

Shows how much I've kept up with secular music.
Maybe King Diamond is too.
