The CD was officially released on October 20, 2007 but does not yet have US distribution. Hopefully, CD Baby will pick this up in the near future.

I really dig this, but $35 USD is too much for me to pay for anything.
Hopefully they will get picked up by a US distro.

Now this is the kind of music I like hearing about in the CM scene. There is very little of this style out there in CM. However, I think compared to secular bands that play the same style they are lacking. Some of the guitar parts sound a bit simplistic but I can hear what they are going for. Now with that said they aren't bad. With a little more practice and time this could be one of the better bands out there. I will be keeping an eye on this band.

The new Sacrecy CD arrived in the mail earlier this week - yes, I paid the $35 USD! - and it really is a first class work. The songs are quite catchy and the production is solid. Again, I hope to have a review online soon.

You know Panu, you may also try CDBaby.com. I don't know if they do imports or not, but that's a great place to buy stuff, too.

Does Blastbeats ever stock anything new this melodic anymore? When I go, the new arrivals seem to be more extreme metal than anything. I haven't bought anything from them in nearly 2 years.

Blastbeats is one possibility, but we'll see what we can do... geez, you really ordered our CD for $35?!! that's insane! I've never spent so much on any album... But I'm glad if you are satisfied with what you got!

Yes, I know that sounds crazy paying $35 for a CD but... I run a record review website at http://www.angelicwarlord.com/ and the sooner I get a CD the sooner I can get a review online. Hence, I did not want to wait until the band gained US distribution. At the same time, I have had limited success with labels from Northern Europe sending promotional material for review (a few will cooperate but most don't). So I thought it would be best just to buy the CD and not worry about label "red tape".

Sorry if I come across as venting because that is not the point of this post...

I was listening to the Sacrecy CD yesterday while running errands and am really impressed. The music is quite catchy and the production sounds good too. Looks like I should be ready to start putting together a review this weekend or early next week.

There are several during the summer months. Cornerstone is the largest (they have 2 smaller versions as well now), Ichthus, Lifest, Alive!, and others I can't recall the names of. It's likely too late to get into some of them though.

I got my copy of this today (no, I didn't pay $35). I like the band's overall sound. But, there are a couple of tracks that just go on too long for my tastes. The songs also lack any big hooks that really draw you in and snag the attention.

So, while I do like this, it probably won't make my favorites for the year.
