of Nashville youth club Rocketown.

Should be interesting to see how long this lasts. At least we don't have a situation here where the former lead singer steps down then suddenly starts on a solo career like Furler did.
It's also hard for me to accept a group as being the same band without the original lead singer. It did work well for Petra, though.

Audio A is one of my favorite bands and has been for a long time.

I find it hard to think of it as the original group when there's only one original member. Will and Mark started the group but without three of the four member who were with the band when they split isn't really the same band.

It would be like Stryper breakign up, then reforming with Tim Gaines on bass and 3 other dudes from other bands. It wouldn't really be Stryper.

Not to mention, I can't stand Kevin's vocals. I don't like this at all. I want to be excited, and I'm just disappointed.

Can't say I was much of an AA fan to begin with, but it will be interesting to se what AA2 can do.

I've never been the biggest fan of AA, really only like a handful of their songs, but I am curious how this will be with K-Max as the vocalist. I'll give it a shot when something drops to listen to.

I agree.. with only 1 returning member it's hard to think of it being the same band.. why didn't they just come up with a new band name? trying to capitilize on the recongizability ...

either way.. wasn't a fan to begin with.. and not sounding like I'm gonna be more excited about this one ...

I will wait to hear what they do before I judge this. However, I will say that I liked Kevin's voice WITH DC Talk. As for his solo work, not at all.

I liked (and still like) Audio A, particularly the Some Kind of Zombie album. But I have to say... the bass player? No offense. Bass is important, but how it this Audio A? They should just come up with a name and put out some music.

The secular band Giant did something similar. I believe it was the keyboard player and drummer that where the only original members.

Let's try to keep in mind though that the goal of the band's efforts are to raise money for the Hands and Feet Project. By using AA's name, they'll at least be able to attract a larger audience than if they had changed their name. In the end, I'd say the charity organization is the real winner here.

I liked AA's Bloom album, but didn't listen to them much otherwise. Sometimes this kind of thing works and sometimes it doesn't. The Newsboys have no original members left, but they still do really well. I'm waiting for them to ask me to be their bass guitarist lol I like Kevin's voice, but we'll see how it all goes. At the very least it should be interesting.
